If you’re in the market for a webcam that has all the right tools and lacks fluff, one that’s great for streaming and video conferences—one of the best webcams is the AUKEY PC-LM1 Webcam. For starters, its 1080p Full HD resolution is excellent, with good light correction to boot. Featuring two microphones, sound quality is also improved.

Why We Like It – AUKEY PC-LM1 Webcam

The AUKEY PC-LM1 Webcam packs a mean punch when it comes to performance, thanks to 1080p video resolution, light correction, and good sound quality.

Pros
  • Shoots in 1080p Full HD video quality
  • Good sound quality
  • Great choice on a budget
Cons
  • Fixed focus
  • Lacks video compression

Performance

For such an affordable webcam, the AUKEY PC-LM1 Webcam has excellent video quality. Its high definition comes from a combination of two factors: 1080p video quality and light correction. This means you aren’t just high-quality 1080p video but also great performance in low light settings. And it captures a wide view with its 65 viewing angle, though the Logitech C930e webcam is wider with a 90-degree viewing angle. Furthermore, the stereo sound is really good, thanks to its two stereo microphones. Image quality is only decent with its 2-megapixel CMOS image sensor. And if you have a semi-noisy environment, you may want to look into a webcam that has noise-cancellation, like the Ausdom 1080p HD webcam camera.

Design

The AUKEY PC-LM1 Webcam is a pretty tiny device; it’s plenty small to be portable, with dimensions of 4.09 x 1.18 x 1.97 inches, and of much better build quality than the Anivia 1080p HD Webcam. At the same time, it’s easy to use. With its clip, it can happily sit on most flat-screen computer monitors and laptop screens. And if it doesn’t, don’t sweat it! The clip can double as a stand and be positioned on your desk, just like the Vitade 960 1080p. And if you want to start streaming, the Aoboco USB Pro web camera stream has a built-in ring light to help with lighting.

The AUKEY PC-LM1 Webcam only comes in the color black. It has a 1.8m USB cable. It’s compatible with both Windows and macOS.

Value

The AUKEY PC LM1 is lacking a few features we would’ve loved to have, such as autofocus and video compression. Thankfully, both said features can be ignored. If you aren’t a streamer, lacking video compression isn’t a problem; you aren’t saving videos for later. Streamers tend to have multiple storage devices anyways.

As for autofocus, the AUKEY FHD Webcam can be adjusted until your shot is in focus. It’s an additional step but one that only requires a bit of tinkering. Given its performance and cost, we still find the AUKEY PC-LM1 Webcam to be of great value—especially as a live streaming camera or the best conference room camera for business video conferencing. And for the icing, you get free shipping.

AUKEY PC-LM1 Webcam Wrap Up

The AUKEY PC-LM1 Webcam is a great workhorse: excellent video quality and good sound quality, and can be great for a budget build or in a pinch, whether you’re a streamer or need it for video conferences. The lack of video compression wasn’t a big deal for us, nor was its fixed focus considering it can be moved.
