Astro A10 Review

The Astro A10 features a much more consistent and natural sound profile compared to the Xbox Stereo Headset with a neutral audio output. The Astro A10 also has a better microphone for voice pickup with Discord certification compared to the Xbox Stereo Headset. In addition, unlike the Xbox-branded headphones, the Astro A10s comes with a detachable audio cable that can easily be replaced if you accidentally lose or damage it. However, the Xbox Stereo headphones are more comfortable for long gaming sessions, thanks to their lesser overall body weight of 0.61 lbs.

The Astro A20 features many more sound customization options compared to the Astro A10, thanks to its companion app. The Astro A20 is also a wireless headset, but the Astro A10 is limited to only wired mode. However, the wireless convenience can be a double-edged sword, as the Astro A10 has a much lower audio latency compared to the Astro A20, which is crucial for competitive games and esports titles. In addition, unlike the Astro A10, you will always need to make sure that the Astro A20 has some charge left before using it, as it can’t be used wired.

Thanks to their more neutral and true-to-life audio profile, the SteelSeries Arctis 3 reproduces better and more natural sounding balanced sound compared to the Astro A10. The SteelSeries headphones also come with a power button that doubles as a pairing, call-picking, and track-skipping button, but the Astro A10 doesn’t have any in-line controls for voice calls or to skip tracks in a playlist. In addition, the SteelSeries Arctis 3 supports Bluetooth, which means it can be connected to two different devices simultaneously through wired and wireless modes, unlike A10.
