The Akko Phone Insurance plan is a third-party phone protection policy that can help keep your phone protected from theft, vandalism, and accidental damage. This insurance company, Akko, covers personal items with solid protection plans that are affordable, making this possibly the best cell phone insurance available.

Why We Like It – Akko Phone Insurance

The Akko Phone Insurance plan has many reasons to sign on. This phone protection policy can help keep your phone protected from theft, vandalism, and accidental damage. Another good option if you want a plan that covers only repairs is the Allstate cell phone Insurance. However, this plan is more expensive. And while you are protecting your phone, don’t forget about property insurance. If you aren’t sure where to start with that, you can read our article on the insurance of the property.

Pros
  • Two plan options
  • Easy sign-up and claims process
  • Affordable
Cons
  • Some wording is a bit confusing

Coverage And Deductible

Like other insurance plans, this one has many reasons to sign on. Like with the Geek Squad phone protection plan, based on which plan you pick, you can include all your personal items to your account and switch on and off your plan when you upgrade or buy/sell stuff. You also get protection service on items such as your phone, laptop, or tablet, with a $29-$99 deductible per claim. If you are interested in a plan that provides a replacement phone for general wear and tear, check out the Virgin Mobile Insurance Plan. However, this comes with a higher deductible. And, if you pay your cellphone bill with your Uber credit card, you may have a benefit that you aren’t aware of with cell phone insurance. Backup Services

Like with Squaretrade cell phone insurance, you can take advantage of Akko’s backup services when it comes to protecting your cell phone. The phone-only protection plan gives you a $29-$99 deductible per claim. And if you want to pay $15 per month, you can get added protection for all your devices with a coverage limit of $2000… which is a per incident limit.

Customer Service

Akko provides the customer service you need in a cell phone insurance plan. This service is included in the monthly cost of either of the two plans you choose. Much like with Protect Your Bubble phone insurance, the phone-only plan will run you $6 to $12 per month. But with the Akko plan, you can have no replacement cost for your items like laptops, tablets, and other personal items.

Security Features

Again, based on what your plan covers…determines what your full security features will be. But for the most part, each of the two plans gives you enough protection to make you feel at ease.

Value

Based on other phone protection plans, this one is an excellent value. You’re getting pretty much all the coverage you need for your cell phone, and if you want to bump up to the better plan, you could also include other personal items. That’s definitely the best value out of the two.

Akko Phone Insurance Wrap Up

The Akko Phone Insurance plan is a third-party phone protection policy that can help keep your phone protected from theft, vandalism, and accidental damage. You also get Geek Squad Service on items such as your phone, laptop, or tablet. Just the phone protection plan will be anywhere from $29-$99 in deductibles. With the Akko plan, you get the same phone deductible… but a $99 deductible for other types of personal items.
