AIRMEGA 400S Air Purifier
A superior air purifier.

The Coway AIRMEGA 400S has all of the right features for cleaner air in your home. The company even went above and beyond the call of duty, by making it aesthetically pleasing for your living space. It can also be controlled via a mobile app for added convenience.

Pros:

  • Great design
  • Large room coverage
  • Smart app features

Cons:

  • Replacement filters are expensive
  • Many users don’t like the app

Build Quality And Design

Coways AIRMEGA 400s is solidly built and sturdy, but the most obvious thing is how pleasing it is to the eye. The AIRMEGA 400s air purifier will look good in any room. It has a multicolored light ring on the front to indicate realtime air quality as well, which adds to the design. Even the electrical cord has a two-tone fabric. It is lovely.

Room Coverage

This Coway air purifier will handle a large room since it is rated to cover 1560 square feet. That’s more than enough for most of our bedrooms and even most living rooms, while still being able to remove all of the dust pollen, volatile organic compounds, and other nasty particles from your indoor air.

Filters

This model has two industrial-grade (H13) HEPA filters. The 400S also has a Smart Mode that adjusts purifier performance based on your air quality, and a differential pressure sensor that detects filter performance and alerts you when you need to install a new air filter. Filter replacements are easily available, but the filters for the 400s air purifier are expensive though.

Performance

I found that this air purifier runs relatively quietly which is a big bonus as it doesn’t distract from the TV when I’m watching. It also has great air flow. The light ring in front which is the air quality sensor, does a good job of monitoring the air so that you know what is going on. I definitely noticed a difference in air quality after I started running this machine and it didn’t take long.

The filter is nicely hidden but easy to access when needed. I have zero complaints about performance. It does an excellent job. The AIRMEGA app is also very easy to use, giving you the ability to control everything, making it a smart air purifier.

Bottom Line

You really can’t go wrong with the AIRMEGA 400S App Enabled Air Purifier. It runs quiet, looks nice and scrubs your air very well. The only downside is that the replacement filters are expensive, however, it works so well, I believe it is a worthwhile investment for healthier air in your home. Especially if you have allergies and asthma that require cleaner air. The pollution level in your home will be much lower. Cleaning the air in your home is one of the best gifts you can give yourself.
