Dell’s latest desktop machine, the Studio XPS 435 is a bit of a looker.  And it isn’t all a facade either, sporting a Intel Core i7 (up to 3.2Ghz) processor, up to 24GB of DDR3 RAM, ATI RadeonTM HD4870 1MB GDDR5 graphics, Blu-ray player, optional WiFi, 15-in-1 media card reader, a mess of ports and 3 hard drives bays providing up to 4.5TB of storage.  If that isn’t computing power then I don’t know what is.

Price and street date have yet to be disclosed.

Hercules Launches XPS 2.1 50 Computer Speaker System

November 13th, 2008 2:34 PM | by Christen da Costa

It’s a struggle to find a pair of stylish computer speakers that sound good.  If Hercules’ holds true to their claim ‘of great sound’ then the quest is over.  Total power output for the XPS system is 32 watts – 8 watts per speaker and 16 watts for the sub – and the magnetically shielded satellites are finished in a shiny, black piano lacquer.  There’s the usual headphone jack out, plus a line in on the right satellite.

Available in December at Amazon and other major retailers for $70.
