The first MW2 Xbox 360 I got came with a broken face plate so it took me a couple days to get a replacement. If you haven’t heard of this version before it’s actually a really great deal if your are in the market for a new Xbox 360. …Continue reading: Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Xbox 360 Exposed
My buddy can really get engorged in gaming hype. Especially when it comes to Sam Fisher related news. Hopefully this nugget of hype will do something for him.
What we are hearing today is that when Assassin’s Creed 2 arrives tomorrow, there will be an exclusive demo voucher packed inside for Splinter Cell Conviction.
Splinter Cell Conviction has been a long time coming and this demo voucher is a smart way to get people reinvested in a franchise that’s trying to reinvent itself. Hit us up tomorrow if you get this voucher and play the demo.
In what is going around as a MW2 inspired event, Microsoft has banned over a million Xbox Live users who have been using modded consoles online. Word has it that MW2 appeared as a torrent before the official launch and that IW and Activision had been pressuring MS to do something about it.
And they did. Having never really wanted a modded Xbox 360 I can’t imagine how all these people feel not being able to get there game on online. What I did hear at the GameCrazy midnight launch was that only the actual modded Xbox 360’s are banned and not the the user’s account, therein meaning you could get a new Xbox 360 and be ok getting back online using your current account.

Amazon still has Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 For the Xbox 360 With $20 Game Credit for $59.99 + free shipping = $59.99 shipped! This game is off the hook. I started playing it last night. The Campaign (single player) is folds better than the first and offers almost endless replay thanks to the online multiplayer and coop missions. The $20 credit will be placed in your Amazon cart and must be used towards a game purchase in the future.
To help it not get lost in the MW2 shuffle, GearBox Studios is set to release a new batch of DLC for their awesome Borderlands game on November 24th for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The content will cost $10 and will give around 6-10 hours of gameplay.
Promising more narrative this time around, the content centers around zombies and swamps, giving the whole look of the game a different approach. Entitled the “The Zombie Island Of Dr. Ned”, it looks just as stylized and fun as the regular game and let’s hope this is just the first of many quality DLC’s for Borderlands. No word yet on the PC release date. Watch the video.

It’s too soon to tell how well Tony Hawk’s newest skateboarding game, RIDE will do this holiday season, but if you’ve got plans to purchase the game no matter the fan fare, you might wanna grab Walmart’s exclusive version for the Xbox 360. According to MCV gaming site, Microsoft’s Project Natal will launch next November for as little as $80 (we heard $50 last month). The rumor also says that Microsoft will kick out a console bundle that includes the Natal camera and perhaps a few games to go along with it. As of now 14 games are supposedly being readied from a variety of studios, while Microsoft is preparing 5 million unit for shipment during the initial launch.
Project Natal was announced at this year’s E3 and was received with mixed reactions from the gaming and gadget community. The system uses a special camera to read your body gestures and objects, and then incorporates them into the game, providing a more engaging gaming experience, or that’s how the marketing material goes. The Natal is Microsoft’s answer to the Wii, while Sony has their own version arriving early next year as well.
Well, I guess I was wrong, it is week 41 for Walmart! Because today that leaked deal, the Xbox 360 Arcade console with $100 Gift Card for $199, it’s now live. Unfortunately, it looks like it’s available in stores only, but they’ve got it listed on their website, so it doesn’t get more official than that!
Update: I’m hearing the sale start this Saturday, 11/7, despite Walmart already listing it on their site.
Target, via Amazon has the Rock Band Videogame for all systems for $19.99 + $2.86 S&H = $22.85 shipped! This game is world renowned and lets you play with your friends – you’ll need to buy your own instruments though since this is JUST the game.
As we draw closer to holiday shopping time we are seeing more and more Black Friday deals revealed. And while many of those have been issued from the retailer themselves, Walmart looks to be holding out a bit longer, that it until today when an ‘off the chain’ Xbox 360 deal was leaked out.
According to the above screen shot the ‘Rollback’ retailer will be selling an Xbox 360 Arcade console for $199 with a $100 gift card, which essentially brings the total price to $99 (plus tax). The only thing that doesn’t make sense is that it says ‘weekly events – week 41′. The problem with that is that we’re already in week 42 of the year, but let’s hope they’re working off a fiscal calendar.
