While I hardly think the LG GW820 eXpo will sell like gang busters, it versatile and wide ranging feature set is certainly something to write about. The Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone will not only sport a slide out QWERTY keyboard and 1Ghz processor, but will offer an optional add-on Pico projector that can produce an image up to 40-inches in size. Outside of that you can expect a 3.2-inch 800×400 touchscreen, 3G connectivity, 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, FM radio, WiFi and accelerometer. There’s no official word on when the eXpo will be available, but I’m hearing December 7th for $200 after a 2-year and mail-in-rebate.

AT&T officially announced the availability of the HTC Tilt 2 and Pure. We’ve already seen the Tilt 2 with official AT&T branding and it looks like they’ll be charging a pretty hefty sum much like the other carriers out there. The PURE on the other hand, will be a bit cheaper but still cost a pretty penny. On a more positive note, both of these phones will be the first to sport Windows Mobile 6.5 on the AT&T network.

Feature wise the Tilt 2 has a 3.6-inch touchscreen and a slide out QWERTY keyboard. They’ve also stuffed in dual speakers and dual microphones for some much needed…

I’m sure it’s an understatement to say that ‘many of you have been waiting for a new and improved (at least refreshed) Window’s Mobile OS’. Well, apparently it will launch Q3 of ‘09. But as Gizmodo points out, it’s more realistic to expect it in Q4 since many of the carriers will require customization – you know, the whole brand alignment thing. There’s a video showing off Windows Mobile 6.5, but if I were you, I’d take it with a grain of salt, although some of the UI looks refreshed much of the old is still in there.

It most certainly doesn’t look like those leaked images we posted a few months back.

Reports indicate that this may be the new interface for the soon to be released Windows Mobile 6.5. If the images are accurate, and let’s sure hope so, Microsoft seems to have revamped the interface to actually make it usable. What a concept!
