Design firm Storm out of London has created a very cyber friendly watch that should appeal to futurists everywhere. This stainless steel watch uses bright red LED’s to display the time, and will definitely make you stand out in night life scenarios.
Priced at $200, it just may be cheap enough that that watch connoisseur could have one of these in addition to all the other cool watches he already owns. What would make this watch a lot cooler would be a matching prosthetic arm to go with it.

Watches are quite the man-made marvel. So tiny, yet so complex and precise, I have no idea what is the appropriate way to price a watch. This absolutely stunning Arena Metasonic watch is something that would probably make Bond himself get spinal tingles.
Before you start thinking about buying this lovely, let me unleash the price. $900,000!!! Despite the extreme attention to detail is there anyway anybody could justify a purchase like this? The underneath view is spectacular and I love to see one of these in person.

Alternative watches may soon become all the rage so it may be in your best interest to stay abreast of up and coming weird watch tech. This one from Nooka is called ZAZ and takes a more simple approach to the alternative timepiece. As you can see in the picture, hours are represented by blocks and minutes and seconds through stacked dashes with incremental indicators.
The face of the watch is silver but the bands can be of three different colors: black, white leather, or a silver mesh. No word on price or release date. Cool or not cool?

Today we’re talking about the new gotta-have-it watch, a watch that has all the performance of an MP3 player, but also a cool blue, almost holographic, face that screams “gadget buff”.
The Tick Tack Music Watch is like a wearable MP3, complete with a headphone jack and a set of tiny earbuds included. It’s still in the concept stages right now, so you can call this a bit of a leak, and so there’s also not a lot of details about storage capacity or battery life or even price data just yet.
While I like the thought of an MP3 player in a wristwatch, I really have to wonder if this will go over that big when put alongside the likes of an iPod. IPods really aren’t that much bigger than a wristwatch, and they probably hold more songs and deliver better quality audio, too. But time will tell, as it so often does, so stay tuned.

I just don’t understand why you’d buy a watch that you’d have to be constantly explaining how it worked. Looking stunningly chiseled, the DOGN watch by Cognitime uses an innovative but convoluted figure 8 design to display hours (24 hour). with a circular dial showing minutes.
Priced at about $1200, the DOGN watch is available in brushed rose gold, polished steel, and high gloss black. The Riddler would probably excited to rock one of these clocks, and he would be the only person I wouldn’t have to judge for having one.

Before you get all hot and bothered about Louis Vuitton’s Mysterieuse Calibre LV115 watch, consider its sticker price of $265,000. Disgusting I know, but you can’t help but revel in its magnificent design. Two transparent sapphire discs create the illusion of floating mechanics while 115 hand-mounted parts make the watch tick.

E-Ink has long maintained a character of anonymity but in the last few years its grown to become an almost house hold recognizable technology. Okay, perhaps that is a bit of an overstatement but with the launch of the Kindle 2, Kindle DX and numerous other e-readers anybody in the know has heard of E-Ink. Bringing E-Ink to the masses in a slightly more affordable albeit smaller package is Phosphor. They make a set of watches that instead of a standard LCD from the 80s, uses E-Ink to display the date and time.
Aesthetically the Phosphor watch is rather stylish. I received the model that shows both the time and date and is finished with a leather band. Although I prefer a complete metal package, the leather actually turned out to be a nice compliment to the large metal face and probably lightened the load a bit as the Phosphor’s large display makes it rather hefty. The leather itself is actually pretty supple and flexible unlike some other watches in this price range, which meant that it had a nice fit and didn’t require yanking on the strap to find the right size. It’s worth noting that if you’re expecting a display that will get people asking ‘is that E-Ink?’, then forget it because it isn’t that distinguishable from other LCD watches, although Phosphor’s are particularly large and very easy to read. …Continue reading: Phosphor E-Ink Digital Calendar Watch Review

Fishing in the big leagues usually means procuring an ass load of equipment to locate the prey. But what about the small fry taking a day trip to the local watering hole with son in tow? You can’t let junior go home empty handed right? The Humminbird RF35 Fish Finder Watch costs just $79.99 and includes its very own remote sonar, just like the deep sea, big boys to locate all the fishies. The watch’s 1.25-inch display shows depth, fish and temperature. Wireless range of the remote sonar is 75 feet, so hope for smooth waters, otherwise you’ll be dropping $25 for a new one.

I definitely wouldn’t think Garmin would ever make a product that was devoid of GPS, but low and behold the FR60. Touting many wireless features, as well as ANT+ fitness device compatibility, you can beam your stats directly to you computer over your home’s network and use Garmin’s online training site, Garmin Connect, to perform analysis. Marketed towards a myriad of athletic styles, the FR60 will be priced around $129, and is substantially cheaper than it’s beefier GPS counterpart, the FR405, which is priced at $300. The FR60 comes with a heart rate monitor, and will offer bundles that will include Garmin foot pods (for tracking distance), etc. The FR60 should see streets around Q2 2009. I want one!

Displaying your geekiness is as easy as purchasing one of these: the Video Watch. It’s a generic, no name device but sports a 128×128 OLED screen and 8GB of on board storage. Unfortunately, it might not serve as a practical watch, since it only achieves a 7 hour music playback time – 4 if video – and requires charging courtesy of USB. Well, at least in the first half of the day you’ll be able to record some voice notes, see what time it is and catch up on your favorite episode of ‘Chuck’.
Available here for $100
