Toy Voice Scrambler For The Crank Yanker

December 7th, 2009 3:10 PM | by Christen da Costa

Voice Scambler

While I’d never suggest that you leave a harassing voicemail or follow in the footsteps of crank yankers (i.e. prank phone calls), if you’ve got plans for some nefarious activities this New Year you might wanna look into disguising your voice.  The Voice Scrambler, a product name that pretty much says it all, can scramble your voice on the fly or record it for disguised playback.   Amazon has it for $10, but tack on $5 for shipping.

This Domino Truck Does The Laying

Domino Laying Truck-1

Trust Brando to sell a toy that makes me say “why didn’t I think of that”.  The domino dropping truck removes the painstaking process of laying out the rectangle shaped, topple-me-over toys.  You can choose between a straight line or set the steering to a curve.

As much as I love me some dominos, and clearly remember playing with them when I was a kid, part of the satisfactions in watching them topple over was knowing the time it took to set them up.  The Action Domino Wonder – that’s the name – sort of takes away the fun and hard work that’s required to have fun with the probably century if not older toy. …Continue reading: This Domino Truck Does The Laying

Sega Indoor Fireworks Projector Goes Boom In The Night

November 25th, 2009 1:31 PM | by Jeff Bordeaux

SegaFireworks

For all you fireworks junkies out there, the Sega Indoor Fireworks Projector takes the danger and financial burden out of cornea burning displays of holiday.  Not so sure whether or not this is actually made from the iconic video game company, I’m interested in seeing just how cool this thing is.

The Sega Indoor Fireworks Projector has a small speaker for sounding out periodic blasts but you can also hook it up to your home theater for that extra push.  To keep sets varied, you can exchange circular pattern discs for different arrays of fireworks like a slide machine or those old picture viewers you had as a child.

On sale now for $217.

BalloonCopter

Balloons have really gotten a bad rap lately.  To usher in a new era of balloon appreciation comes the Balloon-Copter.  Its design and premise is simple in that it is a propeller that is powered by the CO2 in the balloon. …Continue reading: Balloon-Copter Is Not A Hoax

Doggy Tennis Ball Sling Shot

Tennis Ball Sling Shot

Your pooch just got a whole lot more fit.

The Tennis Ball Launcher holds up to 4 balls, and like your childhood slingshot shoots them far and away using the power of a giant rubberband.  Of course I’m wondering what else I can jam in there.  Jars of grape jelly?

Lego MP3 Player

Lego MP3 player

The Lego MP3 player might be suitable for ages 5 years or older, but something tells me the only people that will be buying this gadget are the 30 somethings that grew up stacking these multicolored blocks.

The player sports 2GB of storage, an 8 hour rechargeable battery, LCD screen and a mini USB input.  The best part, though, is that it’s made from actual Lego pieces so you can perch it atop any preexisting Lego structure.

ThinkGeek has it on sale for $40.

Classice Nintendo Icon Rubik’s Cube

October 30th, 2009 5:57 PM | by Jeff Bordeaux

nintendo-rubik's

Not too long ago we posted on the expensive but cool TouchScreen Rubik’s Cube and today we have the Classic Nintendo version.  Though I don’t recognize all of these icons, I’m sure there are fanboys out there that have these tattooed in special places.

Designed by deviantARTist r4r3truffle, this item is not for sale at this time.  I have never been that great at puzzles and I definitely have never completed a Rubik’s Cube.  I’m not so sure this version could get me interested.

electronic guitar rock shirt

Wanna wail like a true rocker?  Well, then send yourself off to some sort of institute, because nothing but hard work and practice will get you there.  But if you wanna jump on the bandwagon of guitar novelty the Electronic Rock Guitar Shirts should fit the bill.

Using a magnetic pick and the included mini amp, the shirt actually plays chords and notes recorded from an actual guitar.  ThinkGeek has them for $30.  Check the video after the ‘leap’ …Continue reading: Electronic Guitar Shirt With Built-in Guitar And Amp (video)

If you recall, this past summer the makers of the super adorable Pleo went bankrupt.  As a result the Pleo, much like the dinosaurs, went extinct.  But through the magic of cellular reproduction (someone bought the IP) the Pleo is back and available for your holiday gifting.  You can grab one now for $349, or if need be pick up an extra battery pack, charger or adapter.

Mario Kart Micro Desktop R/C Racing Set Coming To A Desk Near You

October 14th, 2009 2:11 PM | by Christen da Costa

Mario Kart RC Racing Set

I certainly loved me some Super Mario Kart on the Nintendo 64.  It provided endless hours of entertainment and was one of those games that you could just pick up and play.  From the screen to the desktop comes the Mario Kart Micro Desktop Racers.  Just like the game they include a turbo charge button and the banana peel and tortoise shell obstacles.  You can have the sweet taste of Nintendo nostalgia for just $24 (£14.95 UK) each.
