Nokia X7 coming soon to Three.

Today Three confirms that it will range the Nokia X7. Built for multimedia, it showcases a 4″ touchscreen with an OLED Clearblack display, HD video and an 8MP camera with dual LED flash and zoom. All this and it is still pocket-friendly.

Underneath the stainless steel construction and smooth curved edges, the Nokia X7 runs on the new Symbian Anna operating system, which features more than 50 new enhancements. Highlights include a faster browser and full on screen Portrait QWERTY keyboard. Plus, with the new split view, users can see their message conversations, webpages, maps, contacts or email while writing.

The X7 also includes Nokia’s best in class free navigation that now allows check-in from the homescreen direct to destinations such as Foursquare, Facebook and Twitter.

Yesterday, we divulged a few specs of Nokia’s upcoming M8 smartphone, but now we have the official press release to give you all the juicy details. One of the 3.5-inch touchscreen device’s biggest features is a 12MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash, and a sensor that rivals those on standalone cameras. 16GB storage is included in the device, with more coming from a microSD slot.

With that camera, you’ll be able to shoot 72op video that can be edited directly on the device, utilizing the new Symbian 3 OS. Symbian 3 also supports multitasking, pinch to zoom, widgets, and flick scrolling. That same HD playback can be outputted to an HDTV through HDMI, along with Web TV content from services like CNN and National Geographic.

Additional apps can be downloaded from the Ovi Store, including the free Ovi Maps. To that end, Nokia’s created a special software development suite called Qt to easily get third-party apps on all Symbian devices. In addition, social networking on sites like Facebook and Twitter is integrated within the N8′s home screen. The device will be available in five different colors.

The M8 will be available in the third quarter of 2010 for around $489 US.

A preview of Nokia’s N8 touchscreen tablet chock full of images hit the internet tubes recently from a Russian tech site, and while the previewer didn’t exactly like the thing, I’ll reserve judgements until its release. The N8 features a multi-touch display, HDMI out, GPS, and a 12MP camera w/ 720p video capture, all running on the Symbian 3 OS. The reviewer said that the phone and its OS have nothing on an Android set or iPhone, which is sorta sad…it’s like a book nerd going up against the coolest kids in school. Well, maybe not exactly like that. I’m trying with the metaphors here, people.

Leaked pics of the new Nokia N8-00 surfaced online today, and the device looks to have an impressive camera and sleek profile for a smartphone. The rumored specs include a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen running at WVGA resolution, 12-megapixel camera (with optics by renowned lens maker Carl Zeiss), front-facing video camera, and HDMI output.

The device is anticipated to be running the Symbian^3 OS. More details should emerge before the smartphone’s release this summer.

Looks like US Nokia flagship stores in Chicago and NYC received the black Nokia N97 today.  You can pick on up for $699 or wait until June 25th when Amazon will ship it for $603.99.  Unfortunately, Nokia might have missed their window of opportunity seeing as Apple just launched their updated iPhone 3G yesterday, the iPhone 3GS.  But those who are fans of the Symbian OS and looking for the next evolution in Nokia communication the N97 should have it.

Nokia’s latest music phone, the 5730 Xpress has been leaked to the blogosphere.  It’s not the most glorious looking device, but the slide out QWERTY keyboard is probably a welcome addition for many.  Other features include Symbian S60 3rd Edition, 3.2MP camera with LED flash, WiFi and GPS.
