It’s been only 24 hours since we told you about Jabra’s Freeway speakerphone, but the race for the most powerful car speakerphone is heating up thanks to the folks at Supertooth.  To be honest, their press release went out a few days ago, we’ve just been a bit remiss to post on the gadget since car speakerphones don’t exactly get us all hot and bothered.

Nonetheless, the Supertooth HD features two speakers with a 5 watt audio output and a 5.4 watt amplifier, allowing the company to lay claim to what possibly might be the most powerful and advanced speakerphone on the market.  While that claim is debatable, and for the most part moot, it does include a handsfree experience, allowing drivers to use their voice to answer incoming calls, select pre-dialed phone numbers, check battery level or retrieve voicemail.  Much like the Jabra Freeway it will also let you update your Facebook, Twitter, e-mail and SMS messages all via voice, as well as read incoming SMS and e-mail messages on Android and Blackberry phones via an accompanying application.

You can expect the Supertooth HD to go on sale this April for $129.
