Smart and viral marketing is the cornerstone to every successful company. To help promote the 2010 release of RE: The DarkSide Chronicles on the Wii, Capcom is giving away a free zombie t-shirt. But it ain’t just any zombie t-shirt. Flip the bottom portion of it over your head (I think it’s the bottom) and you’ll be transformed into a flesh eating night walker.
Put your wallet away if you’re looking to score one now, because you’ll have to hit up Comic Con next week and play through a level of the game with a friend. Yup, it’s just that simple, that is of course assuming you’re heading to San Diego for the convention.

If you thought this was a prop from the Resident Evil movies think again. It’s in fact a facial serum, the Derma-Full X3, sold by none other than Avon. The physical similarities to the Resident Evil T-Virus canister is uncanny, but what’s even more creepy is the description, which is not, I repeat, not a joke.
First from Avon: injectable-grade facial filler. A skin care breakthrough! Fullness perfected, not injected!* Dramatic results for dramatically less! Super concentrated serum.** 3x the level of injectable-grade hyaluronic acid for dramatic filling & plumping.*** In just 3 days, begins to reduce the look of deep folds. In 2 weeks, 82% of women saw more youthful fullness in the cheek area.**** In 4 weeks, dramatically reduces the look of deep facial folds and hollowness.
Eternal life and craving for brains can be yours for $54. I never thought being undead could be so cheap.

Well, after much rumor and speculation, it looks like the all red Resident Evil 5 Xbox 360 is in fact real. How do you get the RE5 Xbox? Looks like you can preorder it, but the subsequent screens don’t present that actual opportunity. The package will include a 120GB hard drive, 360 wired headset, RE5 theme, red wireless controller, Elite Console in red, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and some cables to get you HD and online. If you wanna see this first hand, just power up your 360 and head to the ’spotlight’ section of NXE, it should be in there.
I’ll be back with price and availability.
Update: It’s $400 at Best Buy and Amazon has the page up with no price or preorder.

In less than 24 hours the Resident Evil 5 demo for the Xbox 360 will be available for download. And for those who have been harboring a ‘blood lust’ for another iteration of Racoon City will be pleased to hear – or not, depending on their gaming budget – that Microsoft will launch a special edition Resident Evil Xbox 360. Included in the package will be a ‘red’ gaming box, red controller, a copy of the game, a Resident Evil NXE (New Xbox Experience) theme and a coupon to download Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD.
Sorry, no word on price, but the game officially goes on sale on March 13th.
