The last Razer mouse we saw packed in some odd 17 buttons. Taking the completely opposite design approach is the Abyssus, an ambidextrous three-button mouse with Razor’s gaming grade 3500dpi Razer Precision 3.5G infrared sensor tacted on. And because Razer knows times are tough and they wanna bring gaming grade peripherals to the masses, so they’re only charging $50. The Abyssus is currently available on Razor’s site or you can hold out until December when it will available nationwide.

And why not a little bit more mouse news for the day, right? Razer, which makes top notch gaming mice, has got a mouse that looks more prankster rendering than real. The Razer Naga features 12 programmable buttons on its left side, leaving your left hand free for space bar whacking while you fight off hordes of dragons and countless wizard spells. That’s a total of 17 buttons on one mouse, surely it’s a record? Designed specifically for MMO players, the Naga includes custom software that plays nice with bothWorld of Warcraft and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning and a 5600dpi Razer Precision 3.5G laser sensor.
The Razer Naga will be available “soon” for $79.99.
If you still can’t decide on what mouse to buy – wired or wireless – wonder no longer my friends. Wow, I just felt like the Dos Equis guy, ’stay thirsty my friends’. Retarded digressions aside, Razer launched a new mouse targeted at the gamer on the go that offers both a wired and wireless setup (Bluetooth). If the Orochi BT Mouse’s multiple modes of connectivity aren’t enough you’ll surely enjoy the 4,000dpi Razer Precision 3G laser sensor, Razer’s Synapse On-board Memory for gamer profiles, ambidextrous design and 7 programmable buttons ready for all the fragging your eyeballs can withstand.
Razer also launched a new mouse pad called the Kabuto gaming surface, which is said to insure a consistent glide.
Both Razer products will be available this August and cost $79.99 and $19.99 respectively.
Mice, trackballs, trackpads, etc. It’s all a matter of preference. I prefer trackballs. Today’s review will be on Razer’s Pro-Click Mobile BlueTooth Wireless Mouse.
Features:
Ambidextrous design for a more comfortable feel
Bluetooth 2.0 with adaptive frequency hopping for reduced interference between wireless devices
No Software or drivers needed to operate
The mouse is petite, and the nice matte finish feels smooth under my small hands. Buttons are limited for ease of use, as there is a left, right, a battery compartment for two AA’s, and clickable scrollwheel on the topside. On the bottom there is a on/off switch, Bluetooth pairing/reset button, and an optical sensor.
Setting it up on a MAC was a breeze using the bluetooth system preferences, and I was cruising the web in just a few minutes. The mouse cursor was a little jumpy, but very fast and responsive. The optical sensor responded well over a variety of surfaces such as: Felt, fleece, wood, etc.
The Pro-Click Mobile is an ideal choice for those on the go, using a laptop, or anyone who just wants a wireless mouse. Available in a variety of colors, the Pro-Click Mobile should compliment any computer set-up.
Another day, another CES product I missed. Whose gonna get ‘em all, right? Anyway, Razer announced their latest gaming mouse, the Mamba. Unlike most mouse, the Mamba can go corded or cordless. While in ‘cordless mode’ the Mamba will beat the socks off the competition by ‘polling’ ever 1ms, as opposed to an industry average of 8ms, which means 0 lag during heated game play. Razer also upped the anty by adding a 5600dpi laser, the ability to store user profiles and a 14 hour battery life during continuous game play.
The Razor Mamba will go on sale this February for $130.
