Not as pleasing to the eye as the touchscreen Rubik’s Cube iteration, the new Rubik’s Slide promises to be just, if not way more challenging. The designers claim that the Rubik’s Slide contains over 10,000 puzzles.

The user will twist and slide the cube in accordance to a pre-determined pattern at the starting of the game. The further you progress, the more tiles are introduced and the harder it gets. I always sucked at these type of games so I guess I’ll stick to my console games and Bananagrams.

On sale later this year for $40.

Now I really want to move to Compton. This Zip Code jigsaw puzzle is a great way to show fools you got a grip of that local pride. All you have to do is send in your address and zip code and you’ll receive a coffee table friendly 12.25″x18.5″ jigsaw puzzle of your locale with your abode in the center.

Map images are taken from the renowned US Geological Survey and each puzzle has 400 pieces. I know that thugs don’t generally go around hollering about how hard 90221 is, but maybe this puzzle is just the type of product to bring the swagger to the forefront. Thugs would more likely associate the word Jigsaw with the Saw movies, but for all you who love where you live, this puzzle can be yours for $35.

The more I can touch something without having to press it is the way I want to deal with everything. Being touchscreen is obviously going to make something cooler. But what about when it comes to a Rubik’s Cube, whose traditional experience was some good old fashioned twisting and turning?

An expensive upgrade at $150, I can see this being cool for a couple minutes and fun to pass around at a party or amongst friends. The touchscreen Rubik’s Cube is expected to ship by the 15th of this month but you can pre-order one now.

This is the touchscreen version of the Rubik’s cube that first challenged puzzle-solvers nearly 30 years ago. Instead of turning each face of the cube to line up colors, modern-day players need only lightly swipe a section of lights with a finger in the same manner as the original.
Touch sensors on all sides detect your finger and a motion detecting accelerometer determines which face is active; the colors change according to the direction of your finger’s swipe. Its built-in memory saves your puzzle so you can pick up where you left off. It can offer hints, or if you are truly exasperated, it can solve itself. The cube recharges in eight hours using its display stand, allowing one hour of play.

Aigo has a penchant for making odd ass PMPs (or DAPs), so it’s no surprise to see the Jigsaw MP3 player. Not much is known about the ‘Jigsaw of Love’ (listed in one of the pics), but from the pics it appears to have passed through the FCC. Perhaps it can connect to other pieces and form together like Voltron to create one ultimate personal media player?

More gimmick then utilitarian, unless you wanna annoy the crap out of the burglar, the Band Safe is a puzzle. It works by placing an object in the center largest compartment from the bottom. To move the object to another drawer line up the arrows and tilt accordingly. So the most cryptic part of this safe is determining where the object is placed, such that you can lead it from compartment to compartment to retrieve it.
