Multifunctional furniture provides space saving solutions, but the fusiontable by Aramith offers that and fun since it functions as a pool table that doubles as a dining room table/conference desk. The fusiontable would make a great addition to your gaming room, kitchen or even office given its double identity as a billiards table.

With measurements of 53″ x 91″ (standing 30”), the table is big enough for six friends to enjoy a friendly game of pool and is customizable in a variety of colors and materials so it will match any décor. The table comes in five different wood finishes and 12 cloth options and includes matching Fusion Bench and Fusion Stool that’s available in Light Cream or Dark Brown.

The pool table hides underneath the thin 4.5″ table top and unlike traditional pool tables that require leveling three separate slate pieces and stretching felt to create the base surface, this one uses one single piece of solid slate covered in Velocity PRO cloth that matches the pre-fitted rails. Specialized Ball-Slides allow balls to be stored above the pockets, so that everything is kept on the table when not in use. Installing the fusiontable is easy with its auto-lock and auto-leveling features, while pool enthusiasts can also opt for a spring assisted Easy-Lift system that allows table to rise from the standard 30” dining height to the optimal 33” playing height (for more money, of course).

But function and fun is not going to come cheap…the fusiontable starts at $6,795 and goes up depending on how you customize it.

Most people dread those brutally hot summer days. However, if you’re one of the lucky few that owns, or at least has access to a pool then you’re more than pleased than punch itself. But those dips in the pool can now be much more social, and intoxicated, which we can hardly endorse since it could possibly lead to massive head trauma, but as always just proceed with some caution.

The Aqua Bar includes an array of cup holders for a bunch of friends and a built-in ice chest to keep the brews and wine coolers at a frosty temperature. For $50 they’re even tossing in 4 floaty seats so your beer guzzling couldn’t get any more effortless and did we mention comfortable.

A creation of the Willow Garage team, this PR2 robot can do a variety of tasks, including folding clothes. But the team put it to an even cooler use — playing billiards. Using a special grip and bridge attachment, the PR2 managed to sink five balls. They put this together in a week, which just goes to show you how far technology has come. Check the video out to see for yourself.

No shrooms necessary for this here video kiddies. This madly expensive billiards projection/tracking system ($200k) is a pretty innovative way to make pool awesome no matter how bad you suck at it.

As you play the game, you can uncover a hidden picture as the balls pass over the felt. Other fancies include flame trails that follow the balls and rippling water effects. Apparently new software is being written to make the tracking system more useful as well.

It would be able to teach you trick shots or simply show you the angle lines and options for potential shots. While the price tag will keep this system away from most consumers, hopefully we’ll soon see this in bars or clubs in high-profile cities such and New York City and Los Angeles.

We’re all trying to be a bit more green these days, I know I am. The Solar-Power Shower is a relatively affordable device that is the perfect accompaniment to any pool or beach house owner. Instead of delivering blistering cold showers after a dip in the water, its solar base can heat up to 8 liters of water to 140 degree F in just about 2 hours. With the plugged in hose, you can adjust the temperature to the perfect level and take comfort in knowing that you saved a few pennies. At $199, though, it will take you a many a summer to recoup your cost.

I’ve heard that running on the beach is good for you – what, with the surf and all – but HydroCo’s Physio treadmill takes the idea to all new levels. A separate ballast tanks holds the H2O and within minutes the pool cum treadmill can be filled with up to 51 inches of water. I can’t imagine running in need deep water, but in case you’ve got a penchant for torture the 4 treadmills can each reach a max speed of 9.3mph. But it don’t stop there. Additional resistance can be added by using the built-in Hydro-jets. I’ve got not clue what this thing costs but it’s gotta be crazy expensive.
