Black Friday is just days away and in the hopes of spurring some additional sales, Nintendo has launched two new DSi bundles in time for the historically large shopping day.  But don’t get too excited, the changes are purely aesthetic.

Come this Friday you’ll be able to pick up a Green or Orange DSi packed with a copy of Mario Party DS.   The bundles will cost $150, which is the same price you’d pay for the other colors.

Orangen’t you excited?  Perhaps even green with envy?

For the first time, shoppers can choose an orange or green system, which will be bundled with the Mario Party™ DS game. These new colors join Nintendo’s other great value bundles for the holidays that are being released in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros.™ game on the NES™. It’s $199.99 – $70 instant off + $0 ship = $129.99!

Even without knowing if the Nintendo 3DS will be released in 2010, there’s still plenty of reasons to be excited about it.

For one thing, it’s estimated that it will carry the kind of graphics power of current generation Xbox360’s, which given its smaller screen, guarantees great performance, especially for a handheld. Its GPU is called the Pica 200, and clocks in at 200MHz.

Then there’s also the fact that it is a 3D enabled handheld, enabling 3D viewing without special glasses – which is a very cool thing in itself. It will also have a lot more storage than its predecessor, the DSi, which came with only 256MBs to the 3DS’s 1.5GBs of flash, that can be expanded with SD cards.

The 3DS will be driven by two 266MHz ARM11 CPUs, which are better known for having powered Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch before they were switched to their new A4 processor, and currently can be found inside the Zune HD. The device will also have 4MBs of dedicated VRAM and 64MBs of RAM.

If you’re eagerly awaiting a pink version of the DSi, your wish (and mine!) has sorta come true. Nintendo announced the introduction of the DSi in pink, green, and metallic green in addition to the standard black and blue. The new colors will be available on March 20 but only in Japan.
