Huh. Powered by USB or two AA batteries, this folding speaker’s design “creates a large resonance chamber and makes the sound richer than most other small speakers.”
For $18 it could be worth a try though at this point you probably already have a set of speakers for your MP3 scenarios. …Continue reading: Accordian Style Folding Speaker

Okay, PS3 gamers, pay attention, because you’ve FINALLY got a response to all those Xbox 360 gamers who keep laughing at you because your system has no games and is deeply inferior to theirs.
See, the PS3 is getting some interesting augments that will boost its credibility by plenty. I’ve been a 360 gamer myself for the last four years now, and I’ll tell you this much, even I’m tempted to get a PS3. Especially with the recent price breaks.
But now, they’re adding some serious firepower to the Sony Online Service, offering music, books and videos in the same way that iTunes does. Yes, you’ll be able to drop vast amounts of cash with Sony to get your media fix in pretty much every way. Between that and the new rumors of Firefox capability, well, now there’s some serious force in that box. And that may get some developers interested in swinging back to Sony.

Possibly looking pretty swank at your alpine lodge time share, the Maxell MXSP-D240 will hopefully be banging enough to get the party going as well. Available in white or black, the MXSP-D240 is Japan only right now and goes on sale at the end of the month.
The MXSP-D240 is compatible with most iPod models and comes with a remote control. Thanks to a balanced horn structure to radiate sound energy efficiently, this speaker dock could be worth looking into. With so many speaker docks to choose from these days it’s nice to see one that actually sticks out visually. Priced at around $112

Suffice to say it’s been a ripe year for Beatles fans. With all the other Beatles stuff to buy comes along this Limited Edition Beatles Catalog stored on a Apple Shaped USB Flash Drive from EMI and Apple Corps.
Available now for pre-order, this $280 set has 16GB’s of re-mastered stereo FLAC and MP3 versions of the Beatles Catalog. FLAC quality runs at 44.1Khz 24 bit, whereas the MP3’s are at 320 Kbps. Priced at $60 more than the normal CD set, only 30.000 of these will be produced.
On sale starting December 8th, the drive will also include a 13 minute documentary about all of the studio albums as well as original UK album art, rare photos, and expanded liner notes.
I think Anvil needs one of these.

In a land where product names have nothing to do with anything, Yubz reigns supreme. Put the word Magnum next to Yubz and now you’re onto something.
The Yubz Magnum is a wireless speaker that will connect to any BlueTooth device. The Magnum is capable of playing music as well as acting as a hands-free loudspeaker for your cell phone.
Resembling a “pleather” meat log of sorts, the Yubz Magnum is a cylindrical device with speakers on both ends. It feels really nice actually, and is soft and lightweight. …Continue reading: Yubz Magnum BlueTooth Speaker Review

I really hope this item doesn’t cause an uproar at the airport, though I’m sure some fool will whip this out and say “what do you think of my bomb” once on board. For those of you who like to share what’s on you iPod or iPhone with strangers and friends without swapping earwax you might want to give this bomb a looksy.
The fuse is your input jack and the little bomb speaker has a internal rechargeable battery that will last for 4 hours. Since it is powered I’m guessing it might not sound like total crap. On sale now for $22.

I love my iPhone. It seems like it can do it all. Plug in your computer to your home’s stereo or a set of powered speakers and you can even control your music right from the ‘remote’ app. But what is one to do if your iPhone is the source of music. Enter the iJet, an RF infused remote that works through walls at up to 150 feet. …Continue reading: iJet iPhone/iPod RF Remote Control Review

In an effort to “keep they heads ringing”, this new Equaliser music hat uses a sound reactive blue luminescent display to actively show the world around you that you’re listening to music by a constant surge of ascending and descending lights you’d typically associate with a digital equalizer. Nice giant sentence I just cultivated!
Looking a a bit to close to the WiFi symbol, you’ll probably be mistaken for some type of roving bandwidth experiment. To that effect, this could work it’s way into someone’s creative Halloween costume no diggity.
As you can see from the picture, all you do is plug your MP3 player in and the hat will play the music back through embedded speakers and also do a little EQ light show.
You can pre-order the hat now but stock won’t filled until next week. The pricing is at $32

Computer speakers are another one of those gadgets/accessories where there are literally countless options for you to choose from. Most everyone who has a desktop or laptop computer can greatly improve the sound of their set-up with one of these after-market speaker kits.
Hercules has been around for a while now but they have yet to make any huge waves here in the US. Hopefully this review will help! The XPS 2.1 50 speaker system sports some versatile features out of the box, and for it’s price range (around $60), it sounds really nice. …Continue reading: Hercules XPS 2.1 50 Speaker System Review

Now what an amazing product this could be. Thanko has produced what could quite possibly be the smallest MP3 player in the world. Weighing in at a measly 8 grams and measurements of 16mm x 25mm x 22mm, this has got to be the most easily lost gadgets as well.
Available in 2GB and 4GB models and respectively priced at $55 and $75, it will be interesting to see how quality these things actually are, and not just some gimmick due to the size. Tiny! …Continue reading: Thanko MicroSports MP3 Player Is The Smallest Player I Have Seen Yet
