With Balanzza’s TRUCO (Travel Utility Carry On) baggage system, though, that issue should be a thing of the past. It’s a carry-on bag that can “reshape itself” by offering 2 modular parts that can be removed or added using Balanzza’s click-on system. The main bag is designed to hold your clothing and other larger items, while a laptop bag/brief case snaps onto the front of it. The third piece, which clips to the top of the main bag, is designed to hold smaller, more valuable items. In the event that you board the plane and discover that the overhead compartment is too small, you simply remove any of the two smaller bags and slip them under the seat or next to the bag in the over head compartment. Brill.

The Balanzza Truco has a Worldwide Limited 5-year Lifetime Warranty and is available now for $199.

Too good for one of those digital luggage scales? We all know that extra fees totally suck, so to help you avoid more stress and anguish at the airport, you can buy this suitcase that weighs itself on the fly (haha!).

The LCD displays weight in pounds or kilograms at a touch of a button so you can effectively give the finger to anyone who doubts the lightness of your luggage. A cooler feature would be a tare mode that lets you adjust the weight incase you need to sneak some extra goodies on the plane and are good at talking your “weigh” out of using their scale.

Think this is decent product or should it be filed under crap gadget?

Sturdily built, lined throughout

Covered in durable 600 denier polyester

Built-in wheels and pull-out trolley handle

Expandable top

3 external zipped compartments and 3 internal compartments – one zipped mesh, 2 elasticated

Integral scale in kg/lb/oz

Hidden name identification plaque

Case (including top handle/wheels) measures 25½” x 15¾” deep, expands 11½”- 13½” deep

Carry-on measures 12″ x 10″ x 7″

Ahh the products in which we live with. Here we have the GasCase. Pretty much a luggage container that’s shaped like a JerryCan gas container on wheels, the GasCase is sure to make you a person of interest at the Airport. Made from steel and mounted on heavy duty trolley wheels, there are two designs available with one opening up like a Zippo lighter and the other opening like a traditional suitcase.

Not knowing why you’d ever what luggage made from heavy steel, I’d rather see one of these that own one. Only available in Europe at the moment for $137, this might be the only thing left when the plane crashes. Created by Frankfurt-based product company Ivorilla and available in 7 different colors. Interesting.

What will surely make you a person of suspicion at the airport, this scooter suitcase by Samsonite and MicroScooter should not be given to children. Pretty much just two items combined, this scooter/suitcase could make for some fun and dubious scenarios.

No official price or availability is listed as of now, but speculators are guessing it will cost around $120. I can’t see ever looking cool riding one of these anywhere but Chuck-E-Cheese’s. How about you?

Anxiety sucks. Piece of mind is awesome. The Balanzza Digital Luggage Scale is here to keep gray hairs at bay while possibly saving you money while traveling through airports. As any traveler knows, most airlines charge you a fee if your checked luggage is over 50 pounds. To help alleviate the stressful pondering about how much your luggage weighs, the Balanzza Digital Luggage Scale easily lets you weigh your items on the fly.

The Balanzza is quite ergonomic and feels very much like a heavy duty dog toy. It has a large oval LCD screen and three bright and easy to read buttons. Not even having to glance at any type of instruction manual, the Balanzza was a breeze to operate. Its durable strap fastened securely around my large bike bag and all I had to do was turn it on and lift. Capable of displaying up to 100 pounds it can also show readings in Kilograms. The Balanzza uses two AA batteries and as long as you don’t leave it on they should last for a while.

Nothing really to dislike about the Balanzza. It works great out of the box and requires no learning whatsoever. Super cheap, this is a must buy for anyone who does a fair amount of traveling and is always acquiring more stuff as they go. Short review, but totally positive!

Pros:

Easy to use

Compact and lightweight

Cheap

Cons:

May look suspect going through airport screening

Not that cool of a name, sounds like a weird pizza

Buy it here for $17!

We’ve seen our fair share of advanced luggage but nothing quite like the Self Propelled Suitcase. Built-in to this travel accessory is a tiny electric motor that propels it up to 3 mph. The motor only engages when the weak and undoubtedly rich – it costs $1,300 – are struggling to pull their precious goods along, when its sensors detect a incline of 15° and 35° (I guess 36° would be too much of a strain on its servos) and contains more than 15-lbs of stuff. Additionally, the large and buxom handle is designed to transfer 85% of the load to the wheels. The rechargeable battery takes 5 hours to charge and produces about 2.25 hours (1 3/4 miles) of juice.

By Tiffany Miller

I must admit, I’ve never felt the desire to bedazzle my cell phone or shell out extra cash for a hot pink ipod case. I like technology for utility, not as a fashion statement. This probably explains my lack of enthusiasm upon reviewing Lexi Barnes’ laptop case collection. Not only do I not feel the need to “cuten” up my case, but I’m a little turned off by the bright bold patterns and the cutesy names (e.g., Gem, Superstar) that would be better suited for a 12 year-old’s lip gloss than a laptop. I cringe at the thought of showing up to an important interview with my hot pink, paisley designed case in tow (unless of course said interview was with Mattel or American Girl). The feminist in me wants to cry out against the notion that women should try to make their laptops more fashionable and flirty (something about this feels so 1950s), while the girly girl in me feels that the busy design and bright colors would clash with the majority of my wardrobe. While this particular product is not right for someone like me, it would be perfect for the gal who aspires to be just like Elle Woods in “Legally Blonde”.
