Is this officially the white iPhone we’ve been waiting for? Engadget seems to think so. Supposedly a UK customer managed to get their mitts on one via a retail store. Supposedly, the sales clerk rang it up as a black 16GB iPhone and shortly after Vodafone sent a notice instructing stores not to sell them until next week. The model number is listed as MC604B/A, which is one number variation away from the 16GB black iPhone, which is MC603B/A.

So what does this mean for US sales of the white iPhone? Probably next week and since Apple has a habit of releasing new products on Friday, we’re gonna guess April 28th.

We’re assuming that this picture is the box art.

The white iPhone 4‘s arrival is inevitable, we do know that. We also know that iOS 5 will probably show up at WWDC, which kicks off June 6th. But what we didn’t expect was to see was one running what is supposedly iOS 5.

As you’ll see in the video below, the spotlight feature, which resides on the far left screen of the current iOS, has been integrated into a Mac OS X Expose like screen. Aside from that we’re not seeing any drastic changes over our current iOS experience, and as Engdaget points out, it’s likely that this is an early version of iOS 4, not a new version.

Throwing additional skepticism into the mix, is that the back of this white iPhone displays “xxGB”, which seems to indicate that the casing is probably an aftermarket part.

Last week we saw a leaked image of the DROID X2. Honestly, it is nothing worth losing sleep over, let alone waiting for, at least given what little we know so far.

Early rumors pointed to the DROID X2 boasting 4G connectivity, but according to Technobuffalo, who seems to have scored a hands on with the device, and recorded some video of the yet to be released handset, it won’t support Verizon’s LTE service for the sake of improved battery life. They also say that Motorola has removed the dedicated camera button, made a slight color adjustment in the finish and added a new version of Motoblur.

According to their tipster the DROID X2 will hit Verizon sometime in May, though they wouldn’t nail down a specific date.

Yesterday, we saw what might be the next generation iPod Nano. Now we have what is supposedly the next gen iPod Touch. While the blurry photos and few details lend itself to a healthy dose of skepticism, a few things seem to indicate that this may in fact be the real deal.

In this version the physical home button we’ve all grown familiar with has been removed in favor of a capacitive version. This seems logical since it not only removes the possibility of lint and other debris from getting jammed into the gap, but could streamline the production process and lower the cost since a separate piece doesn’t have to be manufactured and installed. The leak also points towards 128GB of storage, which is twice the capacity of the current iPod Touch model. Lastly, the aluminum back is still present, which might mean that it’s older than we think, or that perhaps Apple hasn’t entirely abandoned this finish, which could mean good news for the iPhone 5. Less interesting is that model number, MC550LL, and that it’s running iOS 4.2.1 – we can’t derive much info from those two clues.

To add some perspective to the matter, we hardly think these aforementioned features are worth drooling over or getting that excited about. However, it does point to the next evolution of devices that we can expect from Apple and could perhaps lend credence to future leaked device, provided of course we see a comparable feature set, which in this case is the capacitive touch home button, something that we’ve been hearing about for some time now.

At what point is enough, enough? What are we talking about? HTC line up of phones, which seem to be slight variations on one and other thanks to their willingness to produce handsets for a variety of carriers. Or at least that’s the way we see it, though we must admit we’re mostly iPhone users over here.

Any who, this is supposedly HTC’s next flagship phone, the Pyramid. It has a dual-core 1.2GHz processor with 768MB of RAM under the hood and a 4.3-inch 960×540 resolution touchscreen. The back has an 8 megapixel camera that can capture full HD 1080p video as well as a front facing VGA shooter. It should ship with Android 2.3.2 and HTC’s Sense 3.0. The specs are remarkably similar to HTC EVO 3D, though it doesn’t boast the more advanced screen and as much RAM.

No word on a carrier or price as of this posting.

While the carrier has remained mum over the launch date of the Thunderbolt, word has leaked out that it might have been pushed back until March 10th, but that, to a large degree, seems to be conjecture at this point.

If for some reason you forget all the specs associated with the Thunderbolt, here is a quick refresher:

4G LTE – customers can expect download speeds of 5 to 12 Mbps and upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps in 4G Mobile Broadband coverage areas

4.3-inch WVGA display

Mobile Hotspot capability – share 4G connection with up to 8 Wi-Fi devices

Android 2.2 platform

32GB microSD card included

HTC Sense 2.0 with new features, including Fast Boot

Built-in kickstand for easy media viewing

Dolby and SRS surround sound

Fully integrated Skype mobile experience

720p HD video recording

DLNA streaming multimedia support

Update: Apple just announced the new Macbook Pros for 2011.

We’ve been hearing that the latest iteration of Macbook Pros will sport a hybrid storage system that includes an SSD and spindle. But according to a leaked spec sheet (seen above) of the yet to be announced 13-inch Macbook Pro that isn’t true, unless of course this is just the low end model.

So what’s new in the new 13-inch Macbook Pro? The processor is getting a bump to a Core i5, which is a jump over the Core 2 Duo, the GPU has been replaced with an Intel HD Graphics 3000 processor with 384mb of RAM and it will support Intel’s Lightpeak, which Apple seems to be branding “Thunderbolt”.

There is no word on a price, but a previous rumor by way of Best Buy indicated that we’ll see a price cut. If we had to place a bet, we’d wager that this model will replace the current white Macbook, which possibly means it will receive the same price tag of $999.

We’re set to attend Verizon’s CES press conference on January 6th, but it looks one of their cats is already out of the bag.

Called the Thunderbolt, it’s form factor is analogous to that of Sprint’s HTC EVO and will supposedly sports a LTE modem, HD capabilities, a massive 4.3-inch touchscreen and many more features that have yet to be announced. Course, like all of these giant 4G connected phones, battery is sure to be a problem, unless Verizon has something else up their sleeve.

At the time of our posting we weren’t sure on the all the details and we didn’t even know if the Chinese case would be picked up by a US carrier let alone make it State side. We now know that the case, at least the Sprint version, won’t support voice calls (not directly at least), but will provide a 3G data connection to 2nd and 3rd Gen iPod Touches (4th Gen iPod Touches are presumably not supported). Sprint customers will pay $30/month (no contract required) and receive up to 1GB of data per month.

It’s not entirely clear, but if the screen captures are to be believed it will have a Hotspot function providing Internet access up to two devices. So, if this turns out to be true, this could be a good resolve for those of you looking to connect to the Net on your computer any where you roam. It’s also worth noting that there are many iPod Touch applications that support VoIP calls over 3G.

Why Amazon Germany is the mecca for all things Xbox 360 leaked in the last 12 months is beyond our knowledge, but does it really matter? Anyway, the website says that we should expect a stripped down version of the slim Xbox 360 sometime late August. Instead of a 250GB hard drive we can expect just 4GB of storage which may or may not come by way of an included USB flash drive. Price? $189, that is if Amazon Germany is to be believed.

This is supposedly the HTC Vision, a yet to be released Android phone. It’s kind of like the G1 but as you can see from the pic it’s a bit hard to tell what they’ve changed. According to Njuskalo, the site that unearthed the device (or pic), it has a 3.7-inch touchscreen, Android 2.1 and a 1Ghz processor. Exciting? Not really, unless of course you’re looking to upgrade from the original Google phone, can’t stand what’s on the market today and want a physical QWERTY keyboard.

Say hello to the N9, Nokia‘s latest smartphone that is said to be sporting the Meego OS and a 4-inch capacitive (not resistive) touchscreen. The fine folks at Technobuffalo got their hands on a prerelease version of the device and although it didn’t have the friendlier Meego OS installed they’ve insured us that is the OS that will come to market. Under the hood is 3G connectivity, a front facing camera, rear facing 8MP camera, WiFi, Bluetooth and an HDMI output.

Looks like Sprint’s EVO won’t be the only over sized phone on the block this summer. Leaked pics of the DROID X appeared this weekend showing a comparably sized screen.

I got a quick hands on with the EVO this week and despite the 4.3-inch screen looking bad ass, it’s just too big for a front side pocket. The question is will the battery life on the DROID X be just as atrocious as the EVO?

The details are few and far between, but one of Nokia’s newest phones, the C7, has supposedly leaked into the webosphere. It’s far from stirring up the kind of publicity the iPhone 4 experienced, but for those looking for a touchscreen phone with a high rez camera and Symbian 5 look no further. Specifically, it’s got a 3.5-inch multitouch screen, an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and facial recognition, WiFi, GPS and possibly even Bluetooth 3.o.

We’ve sort of been avoiding the iPhone rumors in recent since there seems to be a flood of them. The latest one to emerge is the supposed existence of a white 4G iPhone. Pictures of a white face plate were popping up all over the webosphere last week, but until today no actual pictures of a completed phone had appeared. It’s near impossible to verify the validity of these shots, but they seem to be on spec with every other leaked 4G iPhone, including Gizmodo‘s. Wondering what that extra slot is above the ear piece? Probably the motion sensor, which usually blends in thanks to the black face.
