I honestly liked the artist renderings much better. Because it has two analog sticks! The big E3 leak this year is the much speculated Sony PSP Go, and today we have some decent details and a video to boot. As previously rumored, the PSP Go will not have a UMD drive and will feature 16Gb’s of on board flash memory, a 3.8 inch screen, a memory stick duo slot, and bluetooth functionality. The big draw they say is the fact that it is 43% lighter than the PSP 3000 and will appeal to the digitally savvy consumer. I was expecting a bump in hardware and better games. Nooooooo, it’s just a more portable Playstation Portable with only one analog stick! Triumph the Insult Comedy Dog would take a dump all over this. Watch the moderately cheesy but informative video below.
Honestly, I’d probably just ignore this post given the gadget, but since the pictures are so darn attractive I couldn’t resist posting. In all seriousness, what you’re looking at are some leaked photos, albeit blurry ones, of the LG Voyager 2 and the EnV3. Neither handset will be Earth shattering when they’re released and at this point it’s tough to tell what these iterations offer over the original, but at the very least perhaps an improved touchscreen for the Voyager.
Although still under development, it looks like the secret is out and this new addition from Motorola is about to make its entrance, albeit not as violently as its namesake who used to be a barbarian.
This all-touch screen handset comes in the wake of the Motorola Alexander (possibly named after another leader) but the Motorola Atila does not have the weird sliding QWERTY keyboard of its predecessor. It does promise to be able to hold its own as a competent smartphone with some of its many features. They include: a 2.8 inch QVGA touch screen display, some WiFi, Windows Mobile 6.1 and 7.2Mbps HSDPA with 1.8Mbps HSUPA for broadband-like data speeds on both the downstream and uplink. Well designed, it remains to be seen about price and whether or not the Motorola Atila will be able to capture a significant share of the touch screen smartphone market, where handsets like the iPhone 3G, HTC Touch Diamond, and Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 are expected to reign king.
Perhaps Motorola could use some advice from Attila’s namesake on how to capture things? If they ask, they better spell his name right and add that other “l”.
BRG, the master of cell phone leaked news, snagged the scoop on the Motorola Atila. Apparently, it’s the brother to the Motorola Alexander, except it lacks QWERTY. I’ll be honest, I haven’t followed any Motorola news for fear of boredom. Yup, Motorola hasn’t released a phone in some time that’s made me say wow, or do a double take of any sort. This handset features Quad-bandness (GSM/GPRS/EDGE) as well as Tri-band (UMTS/HDSPA/HSUPA), a 2.8-inch QVGA 230×320 screen, WiFi b/g, and Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.
Sounds like a…zzzzzz…oh sorry, did I doze off there for a sec?
