<p>Who knows exactly why companies are producing these <a title="D-Link 7-inch LCD Display" href="http://www.gadgetreview.com/2009/01/sidestage-d-links-usb-powered-7-inch-lcd-monitor.html">7-inch LCD displays</a>, but I guess there must be demand some where.  Just like the rest of the <a title="7-inch LCD" href="http://www.gadgetreview.com/2008/10/mimo-7-inch-display-utilizes-usb-to-connect-to-computer.html">pact</a>, the FTD-W71 7-inch screen from Buffalo connects to your &#8216;puter via USB and rocks a max resolution of 800&#215;480, contrast ratio of 500:1, and 300 cd/m2 brightness.</p>

<p>Call me narrow minded, but a double sided display has one good use: advertising.  Unlike PIP, or split screen, it won&#8217;t solve any TV related sibling fights, or quell the Sunday football versus HGTV dispute.  Current max resolution for the 15-inch monitor is 512&#215;384 with a messily 14:1 contrast ratio.  Ok, I take it back.  It would make for a killer art installation.</p>
<p>Too bad I don&#8217;t have the &#8216;double sided&#8217; part in action</p>
