Who knows exactly why companies are producing these 7-inch LCD displays, but I guess there must be demand some where. Just like the rest of the pact, the FTD-W71 7-inch screen from Buffalo connects to your ‘puter via USB and rocks a max resolution of 800×480, contrast ratio of 500:1, and 300 cd/m2 brightness.

Call me narrow minded, but a double sided display has one good use: advertising. Unlike PIP, or split screen, it won’t solve any TV related sibling fights, or quell the Sunday football versus HGTV dispute. Current max resolution for the 15-inch monitor is 512×384 with a messily 14:1 contrast ratio. Ok, I take it back. It would make for a killer art installation.
Too bad I don’t have the ‘double sided’ part in action
