If you can afford to ski the slopes this winter than you’ll probably have enough cash to throw down for these iPhone compatible gloves from Burton that cost $160.

The name, Mix Master Glove (and Mitt) – we hope it has nothing do with that MTV Spring Break DJ – as the moniker suggests, allows you to control your iPhone’s tunes simply by tapping on the gloves Fibretronic controls. Keep in mind you’ll probably want a pair of wireless headphones to complete your wireless nirvana, but that’s entirely up to you.

Burton also thought about a use case off the slopes. The remote is removable and can be used in your car or any where you would like to control your tunes from afar. It uses RF so line of sight isn’t needed and will work within 100-feet of the receiver.

The Mix Master Gloves have a waterproof DRYRIDE Insane Membrane, Gnar Guard genuine leather exterior, and quick-drying microfiber lining. So yes, they’re actual gloves that will keep you warm and dry.

Much like other cases that we’ve seen, you slip the iPhone (or iPod Touch) into the case, and using an accompanying app you can select from a database to control up to 98% of today’s products. If that doesn’t work you can teach it commands using your old remotes. Some other features include macro settings and multiple remote setups according to the room.

The company currently lists their preorder page in euros only, so we’re not sure if they’ll sell the case in the US when it arrives Q1 of 2011 for €69.

Anybody got an Apple TV? Tired of that crappy little controller? Apple has just released a 3.0 version of its Remote App that now supports controls for Apple TV. It also features gestured moves that allow you to control your Apple TV with greater accuracy. Sources report that the app dramatically improves the flexibility of the Apple TV controls allowing you to move the screen on your phone and search using the keyboard. I also just wanted to mention that the Remote App is really cool to use in a wireless iTunes scenario. My buddy can set his iTunes to Party DJ and I can roll through and make song requests on my iPhone using his library. If more than one person is making requests, you can vote on songs and they will go to the top of the playlist. The updated Remote App is available now for free.
