Even though there are many options now days when it comes to buying earphones that utilize all the iPod’s functions, there are still many of us who are particular to a certain brand or style of earphone.  Helping to alleviate any hesitations you may have, iLuv has a remote adapter that lets you use any set of earphones with your iPod Shuffle 3rd Gen or iPod Touch while still being able to use the volume, voice, and track controls.  No word yet on price or availability but this should be a product to keep your eye on.

Today, iLuv joined the ranks as one of the few who’ve built headphones that are compatible with the 3rd gen (Talking) Shuffle.  But in attempt to make sure their phones aren’t shoved into obscurity (there’s like a million headphones to choose from) they’ve also included an inline mic and controls that are compatible with the iPhone.  Available in two flavors, the iEP515 and iEP315, it’s unclear what sets the two apart, although I assume the 515s contain higher end materials.

Both pairs will go on sale this August for $59.99 and $29.99 respectively.

For those of you who love pressing snooze for a good hour before rising but wish you had better willpower, enter the iLuv iMM153.  All the normal clock dock functions apply here with the exception of the bed shaker.  The product page doesn’t really divulge how it works exactly so I’ll go ahead and guess.  I bet it’s slightly weighted so it stays on your bed.  I bet it also acts as a snooze button, though you should be able to toggle that option on and off.  I also bet you are supposed to put it under your pillow for maximum vibration.  It would be cool if they came out with a giant subwoofer you could put under your bed that just vibrated you awake.  Insert awesome joke here “             “.  I like the idea and would love to give it a shot since I love to hate my snooze patterns.  On sale this July for $60.

What kind of day would it be without yet another iLuv announcement.  Seriously iLuv, your wearing out your welcome.  Without further a due I present to you the i1166.  It’s basically a portable DVD player with a 9-inch screen, but includes an iPod/iPhone dock, media card reader and USB input.  It can also play DiVX flavored videos, display photos and from what I can infer from the pic the remote bay doubles as an iPod dock.

iLuv doesn’t look to be impacted by the economic downturn. Today they unveiled yet another new product for ‘09, and I gotta say, I like what I’m seeing. At a glance, the iLuv iHD171 appears to be your garden variety bedside alarm clock with iPod dock. But wait there’s more! It’s an HD radio, and on top of that, you can tag HD songs which will be stored in your iPod or iPhone (yes, it’s iPhone compatible), which probably means you can download them from iTunes (I prefer Amazon’s MP3 store) for later listening. The iHD171 also includes a wireless remote, video outputs and syncs its time to your iPhone.

Much like Philips, iLuv is getting ahead of the CES curve (yesterday they released the i9500). Today they unveiled the iSP200 2.1 Channel Speakers for laptops and desktops. If you’re still looking for the other ’speakers’ don’t, they’re all jammed into one box, although they’re apparently removable. Inside are 2 smaller satellite like speakers and a powered sub putting out a max 32 watts of sound. The iSP200 is magnetically shielded for up close placement to a CRT and includes a 3x port USB 2.0 hub, USB or 3.5mm speaker input, 3.5mm aux input and volume/bass/treble controls.

The iLuv iSP200 will hit the open market June 2009 for $100.Similar Posts:

iLuv is showing of its latest, the i9500.  It combines a wall mountable 4x CD/MP3 player with an iPod/iPhone dock and 2.1 speakers.  If you’ve got your tunes embedded on a USB Flash Drive or SD card, no prob, the i9500 does something they call ’slotMusic’.  In the event of a power outage (i.e. you lost the time) the i9500 will sync with the docked iPod or iPhone’s time.  Additional features include FM radio, clock display, powered sub, sliding motorized CD door and 45 watts RMS power.

As an iPhone owner, I have plenty of choices when it comes to cases and accessories.  There are many companies out there vying for your undervalued American dollar.  To shed some light on what’s cool and why, before you buy, I am here to review the iLuv 3G iCC72 iPhone Case.

The first thing I noticed was the way the case felt.  Made of silicon, iLuv has achieved a great balance between smooth and sticky.  Sticky enough not to fall out of your pants when driving, but not too sticky where you have trouble getting it out, which has plagued me in the past with other not to be mentioned cases.  Both sides contain 4 dotted lines of raised silicon for easy and light gripping.  The silicon is also thin enough so that no holes were needed for the volume and power button, which ended up being practical as well as pleasant to the touch.  The best part about this case is the way that the home button feels.  It’s literally like pressing the Pillsbury DoughBoy’s belly!  I know it sounds weird, but once you do it you’ll know what I mean.  It’s that smooth!

What I don’t like, which is inherent in all cases, is that it ends up collecting a ton of “day debris”.  I don’t even really know what the stuff is. Pocket lint?  Dandruff?  Just random particles I guess.  However, while some cases get stretched out beyond their original shape, the iLuv maintains it’s composure through many cleaning sessions. I am always wiping down my iPhone like Cameron’s Dad’s Ferrari (Ferris Bueller reference), so that is a very nice quality in a malleable iPhone case.

Beyond that, it docks, it’s got a translucent backing so you can see the almighty Apple symbol, and it’s easily one of the best iPhone cases I’ve used.
