If anyone told me a few years ago that a beer company had plans of saving the Earth one frosty brew at a time I would’ve looked at them and laughed.  Sierra Nevada is the one laughing now.  The beer brewing company just bought an EFuel 100 MicroFueler, which can create Ethanol from combining water, sugar, and you guessed it, yeast, something Sierra Nevada has an abundance of.  Currently, Sierra Nevada produces over 1.6 million gallons of excessive yeast a year, which is used to as a nutritional supplement for cows.  That means a fair share of cars, employee cars to begin with, can be powered by the EFuel 100 MicroFueler.  As production grows and the process is refined Sierra Nevada may also look at distribution.  I can see it now: roll up to the Sierra Nevada tank, toss in your empties, receive cash back and fill up your ride on the cheap.
