Well, sort of. For the time being, Samsung will give you their 3-D Starter Package for free if you buy a Samsung 3-D HDTV and 3-D Blu-Ray Player. No telling how much that’ll cost exactly but the Starter Package does seem like a great deal when compared to going the Sony route.
The Samsung 3-D Starter Kit includes 2 pairs of Active Shutter Glasses and a copy of Monters vs. Aliens on Blu-Ray 3-D. The glasses themselves cost about $150 a piece so it definitely sounds like a bargain.
Are you sold on all this 3-D hoopla??

For the next 48 hours (probably less now), Assassin’s Creed 2 Multiplayer is available as a free introductory download. After that it will be $3 so you’d better get over to the App Store and get it while you can. The game is a simplistic top down perspective multiplayer game where 4 assassin’s kill each other over Wi-Fi in 3 different AC2 environments.
The game has 6 power-ups to use as well as integrated leader boards and a friends system for matchmaking. Definitely cool for free. Let us know what you think!

My buddy can really get engorged in gaming hype. Especially when it comes to Sam Fisher related news. Hopefully this nugget of hype will do something for him.
What we are hearing today is that when Assassin’s Creed 2 arrives tomorrow, there will be an exclusive demo voucher packed inside for Splinter Cell Conviction.
Splinter Cell Conviction has been a long time coming and this demo voucher is a smart way to get people reinvested in a franchise that’s trying to reinvent itself. Hit us up tomorrow if you get this voucher and play the demo.

Zune HD owners rejoice. Crickets? Microsoft has recently announced that a batch of new 3D games is now available at the Zune MarketPlace. For Free. That’s right, the following games are available now for free: Project Gotham Racing: Ferrari Edition, Audiosurf Tilt, Vans Sk8: Pool Service, Lucky Lanes Bowling, Piano, and Checkers.
Totally cool for free right! Hopefully this will help Microsoft move some units this holiday season, but having not yet seen an actual Zune HD in person, I’m interested in how good the gaming will be on this thing. If you are a Zune HD owner and download these free games and let me know just how 3D they actually are!
