Wheels, that’s so last year.  A research team at Japan’s Kobe Gakuin University have invented a wheel chair, or perhaps just a chair, that floats on a small cushion of air, sort of like a hovercraft, in fact just like a hovercraft.  A few problems, though: it can only carry up to 330lbs and won’t work on carpet or floor mats.  And what about propulsion?  A standard wheel chair can easily be self driven.  Check the vid below.

At first glance you’d totally think that this inflatable laptop desk was developed for poolside use.  Not so much.  Probably the most portable laptop pillow accessory around, all you do is blow it up and you’re good to go.  My source had stated that the air inside would keep your laptop cool.  I only agree if you inflate by any means other than human air, which will no doubt be hot.

At any rate, the inflatable pillow is constructed of a heat resistant material and only takes seconds to blow up.  No word on price or availability.

Take a hard long look because these chairs aren’t actually floating. It took me a sec, but the shadow is in fact the supporting mechanism which provide the optical illusion behind the Shadow Chair. They cost about $1,250 a pop, but hey, they’re the perfect compliment to the floating drip table.
