If you’re an iPhone 4 owner, than you’re probably always seeking a way to make your handset stand out from the rest. While the iPhone 4 Titanium Premium Metal Jett Case from Case-mate won’t scream opulence at first glance, once you tell your friends the price – $300 – they’ll look at you in utter disbelief. The ridiculously high price tag is justified by the metal (titanium), which is both expensive, rare and light weight. It sports micro-machined buttons to mirror the iPhone’s volume and lock switch, but aside from that it’s a metal case that just fames, doesn’t cover the iPhone. Much like Colorware’s iPad Grip case you’ll need to use a set of included tools to install it.

The iPhone 4 Titanium Premium Metal Jett Case will be available in limited quantities starting June 27th.

When life gives you lemons you don’t make lemonade, you buy Western Digital‘s Nomad case. It’s designed to protect a select number of their My Passport portable hard drives from shock, bumps and drops thanks to the tough polycarbonate exterior and soft elastomer cushion lining. Western Digital says that with the case in place, one of their hard drives can survive a 7 foot fall to the Earth’s surface. The case is also dust and moisture resistant, which means you can spill on it or toss it the arabian sands, though chances are the latter’s temperature will melt the drive’s internals. They’ve also outfitted the case with an opening for a USB connector so you never have to remove the drive and there is even a molded exterior ring for hanging it from a packpack or whatever you may fancy.

Western Digital sells it direct for $30.

Adding a Bluetooth keyboard to the iPad transforms the tablet into a work friendly device. Toss in a trackpad and we’re looking at a touchscreen netbook with a 10 hour battery life that can probably compete with the best of them.

What are we talking about? Crux’s latest case, the Crux Loaded. Much like the first Crux case, the Crux 360, it incorporates a Bluetooth keyboard and a protective case that mounts the screen in a landscape format. But in this iteration they’ve added a Bluetooth mouse trackpad. How the trackpad will interact with Apple’s iOS is just about anyone’s guess, but Crux does make mention that it could be useful when accessing a PC via remote login, and we’d have to agree. An additional battery is also included in the setup, adding 7.5 hours of run time to the tablet device.

The catch? It costs a pain inducing $249.

We’ve all been there. You go on vacation, snap a bunch of photos and then it takes you 4 weeks to dump the images from your camera to your computer. Pile on top another week for you to upload them to a photo sharing site. While smartphones have quelled this problem thanks to their built-in Internet connectivity, they’re still remains the problem of night time or low light shots.

Enter the iShuttr. It’s a case that converts the iPhone 4 into a point and shoot camera by adding a real flash, a shutter release button and zoom controls. Inside the case is a battery that is fully rechargeable and a USB port for transferring photos to your computer. They’ve even added an ergonomic grip and standard tripod mount.

So what’s the catch? The case has yet to reach production and is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter.com. Pledge $100 and you’ll get two cases of your choice (black or white).

Just when we thought we’d seen every iPhone battery case, along comes the Third Rail. And yes, it will shock you because it’s that good.

Unlike other iPhone cases, which have a single built-in battery, the Third Rail case uses a modular system that allows you to detach the battery portion and charge it independently. As a result, multiple batteries can be charged and swapped out without having to remove the case from the iPhone. The batteries can be stacked on top of one and other for added juice, though a single battery, which contains 1250mAh should be enough for a full charge. And because they’re stackable, partially charged batteries can be combined to charge one to a full charge. Each battery weighs 1.4oz, and a micro USB plug lets you charge other devices, assuming they support that type of plug. Lastly, if a new iPhone arrives, which it will this September, you’ll simply need to buy a new case.

For $89.99 you’ll score the case and one battery. Additional batteries can be purchased separately for $59.99.

In an ideal world hot swap locations could be setup through airports and other places with a high level of foot traffic allowing you to swap out your battery on the fly.

4G, or WiMax as it’s better known in Korea, has yet to arrive on the iPhone. Here’s hoping for the iPhone 5, but a long shot, especially considering that rumors point to a larger screen and slightly improved form factor, one that isn’t hopefully far less fragile.

The Egg is a case for the iPhone 4 that provides the iPhone 4 with 4G connectivity. It also sports a built-in battery that adds up to 5 hours of ultra high speed web surfing. However, added bulk will be the biggest caveat of this device, since it adds up to 8mm of thickness and weighs 2.4oz. Is 4G connectivity really worth that price?

It’s available now for about $120.

The Hipstamatic iPhone app has sold like hot cake. So it’s no surprise to see the company release their own hardware, if you can call it that. The HipstaCase looks to be a cosmetic play – it provides old school styling to the back of the iPhone – but with further examination you’ll notice that there is a tripod mount and room for a nylon strap. You snap one up for $39.95. Cause these guys aren’t rich enough already.

Stars Wars paraphernalia. Yeah, it sells like hot cakes and so does Apple gear. So it was only a matter of time until someone combined the two. The Steve Jobs in Carbonite iPhone case costs $35 and is available for the iPhone 4, 3G or 3GS. It’s made of an impact resistant, flexible plastic, so breaking your iPhone free from its frozen clutches won’t require a body numbing, blind inducing defrost period.

Bamboo is a highly sustainable wood, which is just one of the reasons why we’re heavily endorsing SILVA Unlimited’s cases for 13-inch and 15-inch Macbook Pros. They’re made from 100% solid carmel Bamboo and include a hand-crafted leather strap. The interior is lined with wool felt to protect your lappy from bumps and drops. And let’s not forget that they’re all hand crafted.

Logitech has teamed up with Zagg to create the Keyboard Case for the iPad 2. The original version, which was built for the first iPad, was called the Zaggmate, a product we reviewed late last year, and included no co-branding. For the most part we liked what we saw, though the keyboard itself was a bit cramped and the finish wasn’t as sound as we had hoped it to be. Since Zagg has joined forces with Logitech, we can only assume that this version will be up to their standards and included some subtle tweaks that represents the Logitech design team. Aside from that, the design has largely remained the same, with the exception that it’s designed for the slimmer and sleeker iPad 2.

The Logitech Keyboard for the iPad 2 should be available soon and will cost $99.99.

Last we heard Booq had discontinued their Folio case for the iPad. At the time we thought the company had conceded to the heavily saturated market of iPad cases. Now it looks like they were just holding out for the second iPad, the iPad 2.

The Booqpad comes in a variety of finishes and ships for $49.95. While it doesn’t utilize the same magnetic tech found in Apple’s special cover, it will protect your iPad 2′s screen when strapped closed. It ships with an A5 notepad, which can, from what we’ve inferred, be positioned accordingly for left or right handed users. The interior sports a center slot for a pen or stylus, a slot for your business cards, as well as an inner slot for tickets or cash.

Green has long been in and repurposing packaging accomplishes this feat like no other.

In June, Asus computer company will begin to ship one of its Mini ATX motherboards in a special cardboard box that can double, yes double as a PC case. A set of punch out holes works as ventilation ports, and a rear panel can be removed to house the PC Connectors and interfaces.

Asus has said that the box has an expected life span of a year, more than enough time for PC builders to find the perfect case.

Fire hazard? Maybe.

With most, if not all iPhone cases that provide superior protection comes the caveat of added bulk. And by added bulk we mean an unsightly bulge in your pocket.

The iPhone 4 LifeProof case however, sports a full IP-68 military rating yet only adds 1.5mm of thickness to your Apple handset. While we’re always skeptical about submerging any electronic device, the maker says that it can withstand 6.6 feet of water in addition to a 6.6 foot drop to the ground. They’ve even got an optional adapter that allows the use of waterproof headphones.

But, one thing. The iPhone 4 Lifeproof case is under production. So yes, we’re a bit skeptical since they might be trying to draw enough preorders to fund the case’s development, but I suppose it might be worth the leap of faith, especially seeing as your credit card will surely refund you if the case never sees the light of day. Perhaps they’d be kind enough to send us a prototype – hint, hint.

At first blush the iBike Dash looks like another iPhone mount designed for your bike’s handle bars. But with some digging we realized that it is more than meets the eye.

First off, there is a free app that only works with the mount, though you can still check it out before dropping your hard earned cash. Much like many workout apps, it tracks your workout, location, speed and route. Second, the iBike Dash includes a removable and rechargeable battery to make sure your iPhone doesn’t die mid ride, and you can buy more batteries if you’re going the distance.

The mount itself is called the Phone Booth and is completely weather resistant, though we’d be a bit nervous to take it through a down pour. It provides unfettered access to your iPhone’s screen and hidden some where inside is ANT+ wireless tech, which we’ve seen used in Garmin’s GPS wrist watches.

The base model sells for $199, but keep in mind that $100 of the regular price. If you’re looking for a more advanced feature set you can opt for the $749 version, which includes a whole bunch of sensor to track heart rate, cadence and even more stuff, though we’re having a hard time justifying the price tag, especially in light of the BioLogic Bike Mounts that sell for under $100.
