Big Dumps In Yo Area: Johnny Jolter Power Plunger

February 23rd, 2010 3:56 PM | by Jeff Bordeaux

From toenails to tampons to q-tips and band-aids, the toilet can often times be more than your average turd guzzler.  The Johnny Jolter Power Plunger helps to remove those unsightly unflushables by applying up to 25 pounds of water pressure where it’s most needed.

Retailing for $30, the Johnny Jolter Power Plunger forces the water through the “hole” and restores flow.  Boasting ergonomics for ease and comfort, this may be an essential item to have around “just in case”.  I can see the YouTube water fight right now.

LED Color Changing Showerhead with Remote

Color Changing Showerhead with Remote

OK, I’m gonna come clean (pun fully intended): we’ve seen our fair share of color changing showerheads, faucets and light bulbs. But none have had, at least according to my memory, 3 different colors and a remote control.  Feeling some passion?  Flip on the red.  Or perhaps you’ve got the blues or feeling envious of someone?  No prob. you’ve got your blue and green hue for that.  The best part is that it sells from Chinavasion for $13.

Automatic Deodorizing Toilet Seat

January 27th, 2010 7:43 PM | by Jeff Bordeaux

Anybody sharing a toilet with one or more persons knows that pain of stumbling through the mists of someone else’s freshly created stank.  To combat that heavy air is the Automatic Deodorizing Toilet Seat.  $129 may seem like a lot to spend on an item like this but your nasal cavity would be quite relieved.

On the other hand, there would be less to talk and laugh about.

This is the toilet seat that immediately suppresses bathroom odors by deodorizing the ambient air. As you sit on the seat, a whisper-quiet fan passes air through a replaceable carbon filter that absorbs odors, and is then freshened with one of two included fragrance modules, infused with pleasing, natural extracts, including Jasmine/Lavender and Citrus/Eucalyptus. The carbon filter deodorizes for six months and the fragrance module freshens for one month.

Drink No More Keeps Unwanted Drinkers Out Of Your Toilet

October 19th, 2009 9:18 AM | by Steve Anderson

drink no more

For everyone out there who’s sick of their pets (and occasionally those wacky drunken relatives) using their toilet as a free drinking fountain, take note, because the gadget of your dreams has emerged.

It’s called the Drink No More, and it’s implanted on the underside of the toilet lid.  Once something gets too close to it, the device starts beeping and flashing, alerting you to a presence near your toilet.  From there, you can figure if it’s Uncle Roy off to the commode, or Rover going for a quick drink.

Basically, it’s a driveway alarm that you fasten to the underside of your toilet lid.  And at $24.99 per unit, it’s really not a terrible buy if you have pets in their houses that desperately need to be protected from the horrors of toilet bowl water.

Touchless Toothpaste Dispenser Delivers The Perfect Amount Everytime

June 22nd, 2009 12:51 PM | by Christen da Costa

touch-and-brush-dispenser

My girlfriend has a penchant for smearing toothpaste all over the cap and leaving it long enough to form a massive glob that eventually makes its way across my counter.  The Touch N Brush Toothpaste dispenser uses vacuum technology to squeeze every last drop of toothpaste out of the tube and delivers the perfect amount of paste with a simple touch.  To sweeten the deal they’re including an electric tooth brush and it costs just $19.98.  Consider me signed up.

Multi Layered Toilet Seat: One For Each Family Member

June 19th, 2009 1:26 PM | by Christen da Costa

toilet_pages

Growing up and sharing a bathroom with my sister was a funny experience.  Why so you ask?  On more than one occasion I forgot to lower the seat, or in her case she forgot to lower the seat and fell in.  The conceptual Toilet Pages wouldn’t necessarily solve the aforementioned problem, but at least it would dedicate separate seats to each family member and make someone like me more cognizant of lowering the seat or at least switching seats.

The SmartFaucet Combines Facial Recognition, Touchscreen And Water

April 20th, 2009 3:08 PM | by Christen da Costa

smartfaucet

I don’t know how much I believe in the claims of iHouse’s SmartFaucet, but if they’re true then we might just be looking at the most technologically advanced faucet on the market.  In the past we’ve seen faucets with LCD touchscreens, user defined presets and LED lights that indicate water temperature.  The SmartFaucet brings those three technologies together and adds a fourth component to achieve that all important wow factor: facial recognition technology.  So instead of manually selecting your user preset the SmartFaucet recognizes you and automatically implements your desired temperature and water flow.  And while you scrub your pearly whites you can access your email, calendar and other Web based apps right from the built-in touchscreen LCD.

Urilift: Pop Up Public Toilet, VH1 Not Involved (video)

urilift

Laugh all you want, but the Urilift Pop Up Pisser is no joke.  It’s marketed as a urinal for, well, I’m gonna say night time peeing, when the sight of a 3 urinal get up in the middle of the street is less of an eye sore.  It’s also ideal during outdoor conventions or markets when foot traffic is increased.  Just don’t get stuck in side when this piss pot recedes back into its dark and dank hole.  Apparently, each Uriloft costs $70,000, but that hasn’t stopped a few European cities from installing them.

LED Shower Door, Need I Say More

March 5th, 2009 6:02 PM | by Christen da Costa

Water and technology have their place with one and other, but often they go together like tuna and peanut butter.  What exactly do I mean?  Get your tech wet and usually it’s fried.  The Cromobox LED shower door however, is the perfect combination of bathtub fun and LED lighting.  The glass doors are embedded with LEDs and can be adjusted to reflect your mood or setting.  Flip on the Barry White and go Red for that romantic scene or perhaps cool down with a Blue hue.

I’m not sure if they’ll ever officially come to market, but I’m sure those residing in the Hollywood Hills would be all over these things.
