Samsung Omnia II (I8000) Officially Announced

Today, Samsung officially outed the recently leaked Omnia II.  At the center of the device is what the company is calling the “the world’s largest 3.7-inch AMOLED display with WVGA resolution.”  Other specs include a 5 megapixel camera, HSDPA connectivity, Windows Mobile 6.1, FM radio and much more.  Apparently, it will be coming to Verizon Wireless, although there is no word on when and for how much.

Samsung Impression Now Available For $200

Well that didn’t take long.  AT&T officially made the Samsung Impression, the first AMOLED phone offered from a US carrier, available today.  It will cost you $199.99 after a 2-year contract and $50 mail-in-rebate.  In case you forget, the Impression sports a 3.2-inch touchscreen (240×400 resolution), full slide out QWERTY keyboard, microSD card slot, 3.2MP camera, media player, web browser and Bluetooth 2.0.

The Samsung Lucido 5MP Candy Bar Phone Officially Becomes The S7220

Is this just another candy bar phone?  I’m afraid so, but it’s Friday, so why the hell not.  Originally code named Lucido, which means ’slide’ in Italian (so says Google translate), the Samsung S7220 is a Quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900) phone that sports a 2.2-inch AMOLED screen, 5MP camera, FM radio with RDS, accelerometer, GPS with Google Maps, microSD card slot and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR.  It measures 114mm × 46.3mm × 11.8 mm and will hit the UK sometime this April for a yet to be disclosed price.

Sony NWZ-X1000 Walkman Gets Price And Release Date In The UK

Sony’s NWZ-X1000 Walkman with 3-inch AMOLED touchscreen just got a price and release date in the UK courtesy of Amazon.  The 32GB will run you about $400 while the 16Gb will cost you $300.  Expect the player to ship in the next 2-5 weeks.

Sorry, no word on price or release date for the US.

Gadget Leak: Samsung M7600 Phone With Bang & Olufsen Amplifier

And the leaks this week just keep on flowing.  What we’ve got here is the Samsung M7600.  Putting aside its unremarkable UI, the handset, which bears a very close resemblance to the Helio Ocean, includes a 2.8-inch AMOLED, touchscreen, media player, 3MP camera, and a couple of additional features you just wouldn’t expect: a DJ scratching app of some sort and audio powered by Bang and Olufsen.  The phone is expected in May, but like all the other leaks we’ve seen this week you’ll probably see it at the Mobile World Congress.

Sony Officially Unveils NWZ-X1000 Walkman With AMOLED 3-inch Touchscreen

Remember the touchscreen Sony Walkman with AMOLED screen we told you about last month?  Well, the cats out of the good old bag.  Officially called the NWZ-X1000, the PMP will include a 3-inch AMOLED touchscreen, come in a 16GB or 32GB capacity, include WiFi and headphone independent noise-cancellation.

Expect more details to emerge at CES.
