A flash drive is a flash drive, right? Well, maybe not if you’re a massive LEGO fan. Today, the toy company released the first, yes first official LEGO USB flash drive. It can store up to 2GB of data and includes a built-in key chain ring.

Apparently LEGO anticipates that they’ll be in such high demand, and perhaps even hit the gray market for a premium price, that they’re limiting the $25 device to 5 per customer.

What in God’s name is this? No, it’s not a flash drive but an actual MP3 player with speakers and a 1.1-inch OLED, yes OLED screen, called the Rad Blaster. While I can’t get the word ‘vaporware’ out of my head, it includes a 3.5-inch headphone jack, a speaker that pops off to reveal the USB interface (it can double as a 2GB flash drive), mic, 7 EQs and is compatible with at least MP3, WMA, FLAC, APE, and AAC codecs. You can grab it for $60.

Totally ready for dubious acts of all kinds comes this mini-USB voice recorder from some generic company. You can record up to 40 hours worth of audio on the 2GB’s or memory though it will only record 4 hours on one charge.

The audio is stored as WAV files and also takes 4 hours to fully charge when connected to a computer or a USB wall adapter. Seems pretty cool, but anyone looking to seriously record stuff on the sly might be already attuned to different gear with expanded functionality.

On sale now for $45.

The Lego MP3 player might be suitable for ages 5 years or older, but something tells me the only people that will be buying this gadget are the 30 somethings that grew up stacking these multicolored blocks.

The player sports 2GB of storage, an 8 hour rechargeable battery, LCD screen and a mini USB input. The best part, though, is that it’s made from actual Lego pieces so you can perch it atop any preexisting Lego structure.

ThinkGeek has it on sale for $40.
