My preference for an LCD photo frame is one that has WiFi built-in.  But if you’re shopping for one for grandpa, who clearly is devoid of all things wireless, including a WiFi router, you might wanna checkout the Vizit photo frame.

At its core is a 10.4-inch 800×600 LED backlit touchscreen display.  But that’s not the best part, it’s the built-in cellular chip; that means you don’t have to depend on a WiFi signal to send, respond or receive photos. Friends, family members and more can send photos to the frame by MMS, email or just via the Web.  There is no inbuilt storage – the whole point is to utilize their proprietary photo sharing site (vizitme.com) to store and share your photos – but they’ve seen fit to add an SD card slot and USB input for adding and playing back local media.
