In a land where product names have nothing to do with anything, Yubz reigns supreme. Put the word Magnum next to Yubz and now you’re onto something.
The Yubz Magnum is a wireless speaker that will connect to any BlueTooth device. The Magnum is capable of playing music as well as acting as a hands-free loudspeaker for your cell phone.
Resembling a “pleather” meat log of sorts, the Yubz Magnum is a cylindrical device with speakers on both ends. It feels really nice actually, and is soft and lightweight. …Continue reading: Yubz Magnum BlueTooth Speaker Review

Many people live with discomfort. Many people wear shitty earphones that don’t fit. YurBuds are out to change that. Their not saying ditch your crappy earphones, but instead send them pictures of your ears and they’ll make you a pair of custom adapters to fit over your poorly designed white ones.
For only $20, YurBuds will scan the pictures of your ears and give you the most approximate custom molding that type of money can by assuring you a better fit.
For most people, the earphones that come with the gadget are usually good enough and they are often too ignorant to know any better. Let’s hope they care about this specialty service as anybody in the know has already ditched the white ones completely.

I really hope this item doesn’t cause an uproar at the airport, though I’m sure some fool will whip this out and say “what do you think of my bomb” once on board. For those of you who like to share what’s on you iPod or iPhone with strangers and friends without swapping earwax you might want to give this bomb a looksy.
The fuse is your input jack and the little bomb speaker has a internal rechargeable battery that will last for 4 hours. Since it is powered I’m guessing it might not sound like total crap. On sale now for $22.

Most digital MP3 converters we’ve seen so far have been bulky and expensive. It’s about time we get one that is compact and more affordable. Looking to be that remedy is the Ion Mix Meister. Easy as Sunday morning (see the pic below), this USB music converter will effectively help newbies get all their old records and cassette tapes transformed into MP3’s.

Priced at $82, it’s great to finally see a product that cuts out the middle man as we’ve seen the pricey record player and cassette deck that will do it for you even though you already are sitting on an old one. On sale now.

Today we’re talking about the new gotta-have-it watch, a watch that has all the performance of an MP3 player, but also a cool blue, almost holographic, face that screams “gadget buff”.
The Tick Tack Music Watch is like a wearable MP3, complete with a headphone jack and a set of tiny earbuds included. It’s still in the concept stages right now, so you can call this a bit of a leak, and so there’s also not a lot of details about storage capacity or battery life or even price data just yet.
While I like the thought of an MP3 player in a wristwatch, I really have to wonder if this will go over that big when put alongside the likes of an iPod. IPods really aren’t that much bigger than a wristwatch, and they probably hold more songs and deliver better quality audio, too. But time will tell, as it so often does, so stay tuned.

In an effort to “keep they heads ringing”, this new Equaliser music hat uses a sound reactive blue luminescent display to actively show the world around you that you’re listening to music by a constant surge of ascending and descending lights you’d typically associate with a digital equalizer. Nice giant sentence I just cultivated!
Looking a a bit to close to the WiFi symbol, you’ll probably be mistaken for some type of roving bandwidth experiment. To that effect, this could work it’s way into someone’s creative Halloween costume no diggity.
As you can see from the picture, all you do is plug your MP3 player in and the hat will play the music back through embedded speakers and also do a little EQ light show.
You can pre-order the hat now but stock won’t filled until next week. The pricing is at $32

Straight from the pages of your favorite airline catalog SkyMall, comes the PodXtreme Amplified Speaker for any gadget that has a headphone jack. This tiny little speaker is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery allowing for a much louder sound that other speakers of this ilk can’t offer because they pull power from the source device.
Using a “secret” resonating chamber to amplify sound through a patented expander tunnel, the PodXtreme is capable of achieving deep bass response despite the small size of the speaker. Looking little enough to carry around with you, the price is rather small too.
On sale now for $20

All right, Sanrio buffs, brace yourself because another bit of Hello Kitty ephemera has made its way to market. There have been many Hello Kitty MP3 players over the years–almost as long as there have been MP3 players there have been Hello Kitty MP3 players–but this one is somewhat different.
It doesn’t have more memory or an LCD screen or anything like that but what this one does have is Hello Kitty’s head. That’s right–it’s SHAPED like Hello Kitty’s head. Each one costs $19.95 and has a four gig capacity. It includes a built-in microphone, plays back WMA files, and actually includes the right to select the kitty’s trademark bow’s color–light pink, light blue, red and dark blue versions are available.
It’s not bad as MP3 players go–as long as the playback sounds all right twenty bucks is hardly an outlandish price for an MP3 player, but let’s be honest. This one’s appeal is pretty much limited to serious Sanrio enthusiasts and it stops right about there too.

If you’re one of those folks who depend on a tiny handheld tape recorder for your note-taking, be you a student or in business, then you’ll be ecstatic to hear about the new line of personal recorders out from Panasonic, the RR series.
There are four models in the RR series, the RR-US510, RR-US550, RR-US570, and the RR-US590, which retail from $92-$160 depending on where you shop. They offer various sizes of on board memory, with the smallest being 128MBs megs for just over 34 hours of recording, all the way up to a whopping 2GB for 526 hours. Before you grab your calculators, I’ll save you some time–yes, that IS 24 solid DAYS of record time.
Each comes with a voice-activated recording feature and all can record in MP3 mode for easy, clear playback later. They offer a maximum battery life of 45 hours and can even, unless I misunderstand, offer a limited directional record capability in “zoom mode”.
Admittedly, unless you have a very specific use for the handheld recorder, you may not be terribly interested. But for people who take a lot of notes, this could be a downright godsend.
