Folks, this is a terribly exciting piece of gaming news. Terribly exciting. When we look at the gaming landscape and start thinking about “long running franchises”, maybe we think of icons like Sonic and Mario. Or maybe we think about more recent fare like the three generation spanning Resident Evil series.
Or maybe we think about the Blue Bomber himself, Mega Man, who will be back in Mega Man 10.
Yes, you read that correctly, Mega Man 10.
It’s going to be made available on the Wii first, and later segue onto Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, but this is going to be a straight Mega Man fight like the kind you used to play way back when. It’s you taking on eight Robot Masters, and when you beat them, you gain their special weapon for use against the rest of them.
You might think they’d be getting a little desperate by now for robot themes to throw at Mega Man, and you’d be right. For instance, this time Mega Man will tackle Sheep Man, a robot that looks like a sheep and uses a special attack called Thunder Wool, involving four smaller floating sheep that discharge lightning.
And somewhere, the banjo player from Deliverance is smiling.
The game is slated for release in the first quarter of 2010.

Amazon has the DJ Hero Game with Turntable for a rock bottom price. It’s $119.99 – $35.04 instant savings + free shipping = $84.95 shipped! How this bundle got so cheap so quick is beyond me. Either it’s selling like gang busters and Activision wants to strike while the iron is hot, or vendors have significant lead way when it comes to the advertised price – I’m going with the latter. I don’t know how long this deal will last so I suggest you buy now and return later, that is assuming you don’t like it.
The first MW2 Xbox 360 I got came with a broken face plate so it took me a couple days to get a replacement. If you haven’t heard of this version before it’s actually a really great deal if your are in the market for a new Xbox 360. …Continue reading: Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition Xbox 360 Exposed

RIDE, for the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and PS3 launched today. I have yet to get a full hands with the game but I did give it a whirl at this year’s X games – in other words my opinion of the game and whether or not it will be successful is still pending. Nonetheless, you can grab it from Amazon for $120 or head to Walmart and get a special edition board.

Just a little reminder that Microsoft will be issuing an Xbox Live update tomorrow, 11/17. The update will include the ability to link your account to Facebook, Twitter and stream music and more from Last.fm.
We’ll also be at the Los Angeles Zune house at 12PM pst where we might score some stuff to give away.
My buddy can really get engorged in gaming hype. Especially when it comes to Sam Fisher related news. Hopefully this nugget of hype will do something for him.
What we are hearing today is that when Assassin’s Creed 2 arrives tomorrow, there will be an exclusive demo voucher packed inside for Splinter Cell Conviction.
Splinter Cell Conviction has been a long time coming and this demo voucher is a smart way to get people reinvested in a franchise that’s trying to reinvent itself. Hit us up tomorrow if you get this voucher and play the demo.
In what is going around as a MW2 inspired event, Microsoft has banned over a million Xbox Live users who have been using modded consoles online. Word has it that MW2 appeared as a torrent before the official launch and that IW and Activision had been pressuring MS to do something about it.
And they did. Having never really wanted a modded Xbox 360 I can’t imagine how all these people feel not being able to get there game on online. What I did hear at the GameCrazy midnight launch was that only the actual modded Xbox 360’s are banned and not the the user’s account, therein meaning you could get a new Xbox 360 and be ok getting back online using your current account.
To help it not get lost in the MW2 shuffle, GearBox Studios is set to release a new batch of DLC for their awesome Borderlands game on November 24th for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The content will cost $10 and will give around 6-10 hours of gameplay.
Promising more narrative this time around, the content centers around zombies and swamps, giving the whole look of the game a different approach. Entitled the “The Zombie Island Of Dr. Ned”, it looks just as stylized and fun as the regular game and let’s hope this is just the first of many quality DLC’s for Borderlands. No word yet on the PC release date. Watch the video.
