Porsche Panamera Shaped USB Flash Drive

Porsche Panamera USB Stick

Aesthetically Porsche’s newest vehicle, the Panamera, is a nightmare and if any thing just reaffirms Jeremy Clarkson’s opinion of brand’s design team – it’s not a positive one.  But for those of you that purchased the 4 door sedan you might receive a little thank you gift that is far cooler and more recognizable than the car itself: a Porsche Panamera USB stick that looks like a key fob (I stress the looks, since it doesn’t do double duty, which would be cool, nonetheless).

Uzi Flash Drive Promotoes “Uzi Does It” Rap Album And Probably Something Else

October 12th, 2009 1:49 PM | by Christen da Costa

Uzi Flash drive

Chalked full of cliche comes the rap album “Uzi Does It” from the rap trio Get Busy Committee.  And if that serving of cliche isn’t enough, check out the Uzi USB stick to compliment the launch, which will contain the album’s songs.  Expect the record and Uzi to drop on October 27th and with it an influx of 10 o’clock news stories with mothers up in arms calling for a higher standard of morality from retailers.

A Sight For Psoriasis: If They Remade The A-Team, Face Would Definitely Have This USB Comb

October 9th, 2009 5:28 PM | by Jeff Bordeaux

comb-usb-flash-drive

I like buying my combs at the dollar store.  Then I have them scattered about my place, car, and bike bag.  I have a tornado of a weave that needs constant attention and combing.  Why duct tape one of the many USB drives I got from CES to one of my many combs when I can buy a (comb)ination of the two?

For $35, you can buy this 2GB comb/USB drive to effectively render you a person of value and desire. The social implications would be stammering for all I can tell, and I would never tell anyone I actually bought this.  How long till’ this thing breaks on you?

Never Lose A Gadget Again With Ardi Technology Mini-Trackers

October 2nd, 2009 9:40 AM | by Steve Anderson

ardi-mini-tracker

We all know firsthand the pain of a lost gadget.

That frantic searching, that desperate retracing of the steps, that final sinking horror to realize that, despite all your efforts, you’re going to have to shell out two hundred bucks for a new iPod and your old one worked just fine if you could just FIND IT!

But now, thanks to the crew out at Ardi Technology, that pain may not hit near so often thanks to their Ardi Mini Tracker 505 and 506.

The Mini Trackers show on a display, with a simple LED arrow, what direction you need to go in to find your lost gadget of choice within a range of one hundred meters.  You just attach the “slave unit” to your choice of gadget, and, when it comes up missing, use the “master unit” to detect the errant gadget.

As awesome as this sounds, Ardi Technlogy is still trying to find a reseller for these devices in the United States, so you can’t get your hands on one of these yet.  The read link below includes a really clever slide show / video of how the Mini Tracker works, and now, I really want one.

OneShot Camera–No Memory, Runs On Dynamo, Weirdest Camera Ever

September 18th, 2009 9:38 AM | by Steve Anderson

oneshot2

It’s really, REALLY, hard to find a camera any more without an LCD display, so I was definitely shocked to find the OneShot camera, a camera so tiny that it’s about the same size, length and width, as your thumb.

There is no LCD display here.  No slots for flash memory, either.  But it apparently somehow manages to not only come with face detection, but also never need batteries.  This camera actually recharges like some of those flashlights you see–all you have to do is shake it.

The OneShot seems to not only run on a dynamo but also offers no expansions in memory.  This may be one of the weirdest cameras I’ve ever SEEN.

Grenade Flash Drive For Blowing Up Your Data

August 31st, 2009 12:51 PM | by Christen da Costa

usb-hand-grenade

Grenades by their very nature tend to pose a threat, but anything shaped like a grenade, but isn’t actually a grenade is an immediate draw to us none military folks.  What might be the perfect complement to the Grenade Alarm Clock, the Hand Grenade USB Flash Drive is available in 4 different colors (White, Black, Orange and Blue) and can store up to 4GB of data.  You can grab one for just $20.  It’s just too bad pulling the pin and flipping the handle doesn’t erase the drive’s contents.

Personal Pocket Safe: A USB Drive That Requires A PIN To Read Or Write

August 20th, 2009 2:28 PM | by Christen da Costa

personal-pocket-safe_1

Any sort of nefarious content should be under lock and key, or at the very least combination.  The Personal Pocket Safe USB Drive protects all your data by simply requiring its user to punch in a PIN on the built-in keyboard before read or write access is allowed.  For added security the drive will erase itself if someone forces entry and after 3 incorrect PIN attempts it locks up.  There’s no word on capacity, which leads me to believe their trying to sell it to OEMs, but you can grab a bunch of them (or one) for about $100.

AromaUSB Flash Drives Are Perfect For That Stinky IT Consultant

August 14th, 2009 2:02 PM | by Christen da Costa

It was just a matter of time for the the plug in Air Freshener to make the leap from wall socket to USB flash drive. The AromaUSB comes in three scents (Calming, Clarity and Energizing) and includes absolutely no memory whatsoever.  They’re completely customizable with your own logo and colors, which leads me to believe they’re more gimmick than practical.

Corsair Hits Ludicrous Speed With Their Latest 128GB Voyager GT Flash Drive

August 13th, 2009 6:07 PM | by Christen da Costa

corsair-128gb-flash-voyager-thumb-drive

I’m all in favor of ultra fast read and write times, but do we really need another USB flash drive?  Corsair thinks so, and today they rolled out their fastest yet, the 128GB Flash Voyager GT.  Actually this is just another iteration of the preexisting Voyager GT, except this one claims read speeds of 32MB/s and write speeds of 25.6MB/s.  It costs a whopping $399.99 so I hardly see the point in buying one at this stage, but if you’re into massive pocket sized storage with a penchant for pissing contests then have at it.

A Custom Made Luke Skywalker USB Flash Drive

July 28th, 2009 1:45 PM | by Christen da Costa

custom-luke-skywalker-usb

The custom made Luke Skywalker USB flash drive is totally cool and all, but it looks like he underwent a little more than the Vader’s saber.  It’s as if he was pinned to a 10 year old’s birthday cake who took 2 minutes too long to blow out the candles.  In either case, I’m confident we’ll see the idea propelled into mass production.
