Case-Mate is really pumping out some great products these days. Not to be confused with their awesome cardboard iPhone case, comes this new one that holds your credit cards and ID’s.
For $30 you can choose from a bunch of different colors and impress fellow iPhone users with how compact you’ve become. The case will hold two cards of your choice and however much cash you can jam up in it. Also included is a screen protector film.
Today, Mophie announced a new line of leather hip holster that hold your iPhone while it’s attached to a Juice Pack. Using a premium leather, the hip holster will free up pocket space thanks to the belt clip and allow a more utilitarian approach to your daily entourage of styles.
So apparently someone’s finally got a handle on the perfect way to handle your iPod nano, allowing you to change it on the fly from portrait to landscape orientation and help in your taking of hand-held video.
It’s called the Kickster, and they sell for just over fourteen bucks. The Kickster is essentially a flip-down tab that gives you a place to set your iPod so that it angles up ninety degrees, turning vertical into horizontal.
While close relative the kickBACK n5 got roundly slammed as being absurd, the Kickster seems to be doing just fine in the court of public opinion. Of course, you could probably do the same job with one of those two dollar picture frames with two hooks, or just some duct tape and a ruler, but they probably don’t look as cool as this.
Seems if you want to shift your iPod ninety degrees to the left or right, the Kickster is the way to go.
This is one of those things that everybody probably should have thought of well before now, and yet, nobody ever did. You’ve seen the cardboard iPod case…now try the case made from old comics.
If you take some old comics, or even old magazines or newspapers, some masking tape, and a pair of scissors, you can cut your used newsprint into the shape of an iPod case and essentially slip it right over the iPod itself. It’s not damage resistant or shock resistant or even water resistant, but it definitely does look cool, as evidenced by the above photo.
Plus you can get some serious green cred for recycling, AND some coordinated guy cred for making your own iPod case out of whatever was lying around. That’s awesome no matter how you put it.
In all hilarity, the Tomfooligans at Case-Mate have actually manufactured a 100% recycled cardboard case of the iPhone 3G(S) and 1G. At $0.99, you can now be the most ghetto iPhone owner around. Not intended for anything but poverty flair, this case won’t protect your iPhone from liquids and falls but you can decorate them book cover style reminiscent of your middle school days.
I bet you Case-Mate is a really fun company to work for. When I reviewed their Fuel battery extender they sent me a refillable gas container stuffed with coffee beans. For fun amongst friends, you can buy the “bailout bundle” which is 10 cases for $8.

Scosche wasted no time, and today announced the launch of their first 5th gen iPod Nano compatible case. Called the kickBACK n5, it’s made from a shatterproof clear polycarbonate and includes rubber bumpers in the event that you lose your grip. On the rear of the case is a kick stand for when you get tired of holding the player as well as a camera hole.
Scosche is selling them direct for $25 and has even tossed in a microfiber cleaning cloth.
Okay, we all know we’ve got a TON of gadgets to carry around with us. Our keys, our watches, our Blackberries, our cell phones, assorted whatnot, a pack of mints in case we run into the ladies…you know what I’m saying. But we can’t carry all this stuff around in our pants. Only so many guys can pull off cargo shorts. We’ll get beaten for carrying a purse and don’t even TRY to pass it off as a “Jack Pack”, all right? You can call it a “messenger bag” until your lips fall off but it’s still basically a man purse.
Enter the Grabit Pack, a sweet little device that straps to your hip in much the same way an Old West-style gun holster would. There’s enough room in there for your mints and cell phone, and a little extra besides. Plus, as it’s worn on the outside of your leg, it’s not likely to restrict freedom of movement.
The Grabit Pack retails for twenty five bucks, but ordering direct brings the shipping and handling monster into play.
Remember that funky D30 rubber like material that goes from mailable to hard when extreme friction or force is applied to it? The technology, which we last saw going into military helmets to protect UK soldiers, has made its way into a protective case for the iPod Touch (and iPhone) called the iBand. Recombu sat down with the folks from Tech21, the guys behind the protective case, and shot a hands on video demonstrating just how effective the material and product is at protecting the device.
Big into cars? Wanna protect your brand spankin’ new Macbook Pro? The Carbon Fiber Leather Macbook Pro case is light weight, doesn’t add too much bulk and takes just a few seconds to install. It comes in two pieces – back and front – and includes a clear acrylic window so you can show off your computer allegiance. Carbon Fiber Gear also has a version for the 13.3-inch Macbook Pro and they start at $69.99. Video demo below.
Aside from the poorly translated product page the Minifit XL notebook stand/cooler looks to be a solid product. It not only protects one side of your notebook, but also includes a USB powered fan that can be placed any where on its surface. That means you can target the hotspots of your laptop. The Minifit XL fits most laptops up to 15-inches in size and is probably available some where in Korea.
