Last week at the Google I/O, the search engine giant showcased its Android operating system for smartwatches dubbed as Android Wear. Along with the new OS, the company also unveiled three new devices, including the Samsung Gear Live, LG G Watch and Moto 360. While the Moto 360 is not coming out until this summer, LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live are up for pre-orders on the Google Play Store.
Samsung Gear Live comes with a $199 price tag, while the LG G Watch costs a little higher, that is, $229. Google mentioned on the product listing that Gear Live will leave the warehouse on July 8th, while the LG G3 is expected to start shipping after July 3rd. Users who will pre-order the smartwatches can expect them at their doorstep sometime next week, but if you want to buy them a little early, you can check out third party retailers in your region as well. LG G Watch is available for sale in the UK at Unlocked Mobiles with next day shipping, so you may want to try your luck if you want the devices a little early.
As for the Google Play Store, the devices aren’t available in all global markets since Google Play Store devices works in a limited number of countries. LG G Watch is available at the Google Play Store in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Spain, United Kingdom and United States. On the other hand, Samsung Gear Live is also available in all regions mentioned above except India, but we may see Samsung launch the device separately in the Indian market.
