If there’s one addiction that supersedes all in modern life, one substance that civilization might very well shut down without, it’s coffee. Think about how Starbucks is so popular, it can open across the street from another place selling coffee, even another Starbucks, and still rack up sales. But it’s difficult to brew your own coffee while in class or driving or out in nature… unless you happen to have a Hey Joe coffee mug.

Caffeine Monkey

Essentially, Hey Joe crams a Keurig into a travel mug. It starts with the top part, a reservoir you can fill with water, or coffee if you’re that hardcore. Next, you slot a coffee pod, or just pour your own grounds, into the middle. Then, just press the power button. Once brews coffee at 140 degrees, twice brews it at 155, and three times brews you a cold drip coffee. It’s all powered by a battery in the base you can recharge with USB.

Pods Of Love

Another nice touch is that you can buy this with the custom coffee pods. The pods include a filter, so pretty much all you have to do is slot the coffee into the pod, hit the button, and out comes some custom ground and brewed coffee. Cleverly, the pods include seeds inside that won’t be affected by the coffee process, which means you can chuck the pods by the side of the road and some pretty wildflowers will grow out of them. Nothing quite like being biodegradable!

Coffee To Go

Everybody needs a little pick-me-up in the morning, and truthfully, it’s a lot easier to brew your own coffee, no matter where you happen to be, than it is to try and hunt down a coffee shop at 6am. And if you’re in a meeting or a class, and there’s no coffee to be had… well, you’ve just gotten a lifesaver. Currently, you can get the mug with some coffee pods for just $69.
