For $45,000, you can get yourself a pretty nice ride or a Flying Bicycle. Yeah, you read right…a flying bike! The ultralight para-trike aircraft is great on land and in the air thanks to its interesting design that packs a powerful two-stroke gas engine that powers the trike’s three-bladed carbon fiber propeller. It’s lifted off the ground thanks to a para-wing that’s deployed from an integrated backpack, then when it’s airborne it can cruise at low altitude (specifically below 4,000′) at 25 mph.
It’ll get about 75 miles on a full gas tank and operates best in an open space. Then when you’re on the ground, the machine operates like a regular bike and can ride in traffic when the para-wing isn’t deployed. It’s 4″ wide and its rolls on 20″ wheels and rubber tires, but the best part is that it can fold down to fit in the trunk of your car!
