The upcoming iPhone 6 has seen its fair share of rumors in the past few weeks. Rumors suggest Apple is working on a larger iPhone 6 with two screen sizes: 4.7-inch and 5.7-inch. We’re seen reports suggesting the phablet sized iPhone might get delayed to 2015 as rumors hint at battery issues with the device as well as issues with the screen supply, but the 4.7-inch model may hit retail by fall.
Recently, some images were leaked from Chinese shores, that shows a mold, or in some words, a dummy unit which is usually used to create prototype cases for the device. The person who posted the images didn’t offer too much details about the measurements of the device, but it goes in line with all the rumors we’ve heard in the past few weeks. Thanks to the rumor mill, we know it will come with a 4.7-inch display. And, by taking a closer look at the device, it appears to be close enough.
The device is larger than the current iPhone 5S, and features rounded edges with an extremely slim design. If you take a close look at the back of the device, there’s a protruding camera with a flash. We’ve seen rumors that the upcoming iPhone 6 will feature a protruding camera due to its slim design.
Let’s just take this with a pinch of salt as there’s no confirmation if it was created based on the leaks, or if the leaks are based on the dummy which has made its way to the internet. However, it do give us a look at how a larger iPhone may look like. Apple is reportedly working on the device, with an expected launch to take place in the third quarter, possibly in September which is the time when Apple updates the iPhone line up.
