Nike is expanding its NikeFuel platform to include other industry-leading fitness apps like MyFitnessPal, RunKeeper and Strava and have just opened their Nike+ Fuel Lab in San Francisco, CA – the new hub of everything Nike+. By integrating NikeFuel into new products like the aforementioned, Nike hopes to reach more than 100 million new potential athletes, who will now be able to use NikeFuel to measure, motivate and improve their performance. Nike wants their NikeFuel to the be the “common universal currency to monitor and evaluate their many forms of activity,” according to their site. Their San Fran base puts them at the “center of the evolving digital landscape for athletes worldwide.”
