Bike lights are crucial to cyclist safety. Essentially, if you’re going out at night with just a set of reflectors, you’re going to get run over. But it also raises a whole host of problems, ranging from the ugliness of the light to the fact that, well, if thieves can’t steal your bike they might settle for your light. The Double-O Light actually solves all of these problems, elegantly.

Easy To Use, Easy To Remove

First of all, the Double-O uses the cyclist’s best friend: Magnets. Instead of mounting the light directly to your bike, you instead attach the mounts. They’re magnetic, so all you have to do is slap on the light, fire it up, and ride off into the darkness.

Theft-Proof

Needless to say, though, not all of us want to take bike lights with us wherever we go. For one thing, they’re kinda ugly. For another, they can eat up space. That’s where the O shape comes into play.

Simply slip your chain, or your bar lock, through the middle of the light and secure it as usual. True, it won’t be able to combat thieves that use angle-grinders or bolt-cutters to get at your bike. But if they’re that dedicated, they’re probably not out to steal your bike lights in the first place.

Elegance In Shape

Finally, this is a minor point, but it does help quite a bit that they’re not ugly. A lot of bike lights have design that seems never to have escaped the 1980s, so a simple, elegant, LED based light is always a welcome addition to bike lanes and frames.

That said, you’ll need to pay to make it a reality: They’re currently looking for funding on Kickstarter. So if you want a better bike light, time to put your money down.
