We’ve all had the experience of a portable speaker dying on us. Or, sometimes, our phone dying before our portable speaker. The ZENS Qi would like to ensure that stops happening.
Bring The Bass
First of all, it is, of course, a speaker. And a pretty good one, too; it uses Bluetooth to pair to a phone or other gadget, and then runs the sound through two 5-watt speakers onboard the device. Yeah, that’s not going to shake the party, but it’s a lot better than many wireless speakers, and for small uses such as speakerphone calls and playing back music while you do something else, it’s pretty much perfect. Then, of course, there’s the charging capabilities.
Bring The Charger
Yes, the Qi in the name isn’t just to make it sound fancy, this speaker is also a wireless charger. If you’ve got a Qi setup built into your phone, or one of the company’s handy charging cases, just set up the speaker, lay down your phone, and it’ll start charging it up. This pairs well with the speaker’s NFC capability, which allows you to “touch to pair” and take a little aggravation out of the sometimes annoying process of pairing off two devices. Although it still won’t improve your music choices; that’s going to take some work on Spotify.
Speak, Flash Memory
The ZENS Qi Portable Speaker won’t solve every single problem you have with your phone, but it will help you hear calls and it’s also admirably platform agnostic; as long as your phone has Bluetooth, you’ll be able to use this, a welcome switch from some accessories being limited to one platform.
Also, it’s always nice to have a spare charger on you. You can currently find the ZENS Qi online for $150.
