Price increases suck! Now, your Amazon Prime subscriptions will cost more now that Amazon has raised its price. What used to be $79 a year will now turn into $99. But a price increase was pretty much imminent, especially after some recent changes in the UK. According to an email to Prime members, the price increase is due to rising fuel and transportation costs, as well as to the general expansion of e-book lending. Amazon has kept their price at $79 since the service first launched, which is going to be a bummer to many who have to renew this year. But here’s a cool way to still get it at $79 a year – new subscribers who sign up now for a free trial within the next week can lock in the old price for a year!
