Traffic updates via your in-car navigation system or smartphone is nothing new these days, but your own traffic-spotting drone is something to get excited about! Although it hasn’t happened yet, Renault is dreaming it will. They’ve equipped their new KWID concept car with its own quadrocopter drone that sits on the car’s roof and then is sent to the skies using a control app on your tablet. It then would send back any results on its survey of the road so that you know if there’s going to be traffic up ahead or not. Sounds pretty cool, right? But with so many questions (like will it be distracting to other drivers), Renault says it’ll probably never see production.
