Update 4/7: This week Target has the Titanfall Edition Console for only $450 and 1 Year of Xbox LIVE (vs. 1 month in the standard bundle). This offer will run through Saturday, April 12th.
On March 11th the highly anticipated third person shooter Titanfall will hit the shelves and the Microsoft Store is betting you want to buy the Xbox One version. Today they’ve thrown together an Xbox One “Titanfall Edition” console bundle for the same price as the standard edition Xbox One console. Not a bad deal at all. This is a “limited time deal” according to Microsoft’s blog post earlier today.
The Xbox One Titanfall Edition console bundle is only $499.99 with free shipping from the Microsoft Store. In addition to the Xbox One Console, the buyer will also get the digital copy of Titanfall game and a 1 month subscription to Xbox LIVE gold. Separately the extras would add up to $70.
No rush delivery needed to get this Xbox Console bundle on time. If you buy it from the Microsoft Store online by 12PM PST on March 8th, you’ll get it delivered on the March 11th release date.
With the Xbox One starting at $100 more than the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One falling behind in sales… could this be a sign of a last ditch effort to keep the $499.99 price tag? Last we heard, the Microsoft shipped 3.9 million consoles in 2013, which is a little behind the 4.2 million PS4 units sold in the same time period. In February Sony announced 5.3 million PS4 units sold, while Microsoft has not revealed any new numbers. Combine that with the common knowledge in the US that a PS4 harder to find in stock at a local retailer, and Microsoft may looking to boost sales.
