So far, it hasn’t even been Christmas yet, and most of the country has seen two major winter storms. While some of us know how to deal with the white stuff, many will still be discovering the joys of backbreaking labor to get your car out of the garage. The Snow Wolf ensures, however, that shoveling is a little easier.

Lift With Your Back

Shoveling snow is a full-body workout, in the sense that you essentially need to use your entire body to get things moving. Which is fine, but imagine having to do squats for an hour and you can see why some people find it exhausting. This is where the wheel comes into play; it makes shoveling snow a lot more efficient.

Rollin’, Rollin’, Rollin’

Essentially the Snow Wolf is designed to be a snowblower without the gas costs. You roll the shovel into the snow, use the wheel for leverage, and roll it to your preferred snow dumping zone. Unlike the squat, lift and toss that most snow shovels require you to use, this is a lot easier on your lower back. It’s also designed to be used like a plow, with handlebars instead of the traditional closed handle making it easier to push down and lever out massive chunks of snow and ice. That does make it tough to use as a traditional shovel, however, which might be a problem for some.

If this looks a little bulky, the good news is that the designers thought of that as well; this folds up so you can tuck it easily into your garage or apartment’s closet. That said, having something this useful around the house will cost you a bit: It’s currently $140 on Amazon. But hey, isn’t it worth not throwing out your back?
