If Batman played golf, he’d probably show up on the back nine in this Mini-Tumbler Batcart! It’s a golf cart made to look like Batman’s Tumbler made by Macr Irvin of Marc’s Creation company for the movie director/producer Ray Griggs. The customized cart has actually been seen driving around movie set lots until it recently sold on eBay for $17,500. The cart started as an EZ-Go golf cart that was stripped down to its bare fan to start building the hand-crafted mini-Tumbler. It features a hand-scuplted cowl with fake exhaust port to look like an afterburner at the rear, while twin aerodynamic wings were mounted over the passenger compartment. Sheet metal and glass was wrapped around the entire entire cart to protect occupants from bad players hitting golf balls off the green.
It also has a 4-link rear suspension with coil-overs, while custom-made, dual 28-inch Super Swamper tires on the back can handle the fairway as well as any sand traps. It’s powered by a 8 V, 4600 rpm go-kart motor developing 6 hp replaced the existing EZ cart unit, reportedly pushing enough power to let it hit 38 mph. Inside is just as authentic as the old side with adjustable leather seats, cup holders, an iPad stand, secret kill switch and a Batman logo on the sports steering column. Some back warning backup buzzers, lights and side mirrors were added to provide drivers to see better since all that sheet metal doesn’t allow for easy visibility. Irvin is supposedly working on a new Mini-Tumbler, the theMini Tumbler 2 – based on the first model that’s said to cost $32,000 for a complete version or for those looking for a fun DIY project, he’ll sell a kit for about $9,500.
