Listen up Samsung Galaxy S3 owners. Samsung will soon roll out an Android update that will bump your handset from 4.1.2 to 4.3. Yes, 4.3 is finally arriving on the S3. And to be honest, I had no idea the device was this far behind, especially since my Galaxy S4 and Nexus 4 both received the update months ago. Yes, I know Nexus devices get it first, but still.
That said, the update brings a variety of improvements, as well as greater Galaxy Gear support to more devices, or at least that’s what it sounds like. Additionally, there are many “core UI” improvements, a new Sammy keyboard, an updated camera, a completely revamped Settings UI, and lots, lots more.
According to SamMobile, an independent site not associated with Samsung, the update has already hit Ireland (huh?) and will roll out to other regions very soon. Those with carrier purchased handsets will likely have to wait even longer, but who knows, maybe it will arrive sooner than you think.
