Moto X-005

Got plans to get a new smartphone this weekend?  Well, if you’re NOT on Sprint, you can nab the Moto X for just $20 on contract. That’s a pretty decent price drop from when the phone first launched.  For existing Sprint customers the cost will be $50.

Of note, Amazon sells an AT&T version of the phone for $60 to existing and new customers.  By way of Verizon it sells for $50.

That all said, Google yesterday unveiled the Nexus 5.  Off contract it’s $350.  That gets you 16GB of storage and the latest gen hardware that can compete with just about any phone on the market today.  An extra $50 will score you twice the storage space.  Currently, shipping is delayed from 2-4 weeks depending on which Nexus 5 you choose.  Sprint will have it for $150 for existing customers or $50 for new customers.  The Now Network carrier will begin shipping the handset on November 8th.
